A kolsch-style ale. When you need a beer after mowing the lawn, don't drink one of the mass produced beers, reach for this "fancy" lawnmower beer.

Appearance: clear straw with one finger of nearly pure white head, good retention and minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: crackery malt, grassy, honey. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (6/10) Palate: light body, moderate carbonation, crisp finish. (3/5) Yep, that’s definitely a lawnmower beer, though I’m not sure it’s all that fancy: in terms of colour, weight, body, presence… by whatever metric you want to use, this is an extremely light beer. Not badly done, though, by any means. The decent crisp grassy hop finish makes it an effective thirst quencher - in other words, a lawnmower beer. (12/20)

Shared 12. oz. bottle. Pale gold with small white head. Light hops and malt in aroma, smells faintly sweet. Similar taste, but not a lot of flavor overall. Hardly fancy, but a decent thirst-quencher.

Aroma: faintly sweet and slightly bready; Appearance: pale straw with minimal head;Taste: can see why it’s called lawnmower beer since it tastes like sparkling water; faint hops but that’s about it; Palate: very light body, fizzy carbonation; short finish; Overall: similar to Rolling Rock; inoffensive and somewhat refreshing; would drink again if free.

Originally rated on 4/15/08- Still drinking my first one, golden yellow body with thin head fair lacing, the initial smell was kinda strange (not in a good way). Tastes a little grassy, and slightly malty. This is my first sample of the kolsch style beer, i will have to try a few more to get a good feel for them. Anyway this isnt a bad beer, its fairly average.

Tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden color, little head. Aroma is faint, grain, light caramel, a bit of apple juice. Taste is grain, a bit of toast, faint caramel. Not much going on, but very refreshing. Light mouthfeel, high carbonation. Not tons of flavor, but for being marketed as an alternative to mass produced "lawnmower" beer this does the trick.

12oz bottle. 6/30/15 production date. Appearance: Light golden, crystal clear, with low white head. Aroma: Light grainy malt and slight fruity yeast character. Taste: Light grainy malt and moderate herbal bitterness. Mouthfeel: Light body with moderately high carbonation. Finish: Dry and sticky on the tongue. Overall: Decent kolsch. Lacks the fruity yeast character of some others

Light gold pour, decent white head. Nose is lightly kilned malt. Little more bitter than sweet. Middle is bread, soft fruit, sweet malt body. Hop bitterness peaks at the end, but only briefly. Good summer beer.
