Brewer Sam Wright’s Description:
I was going for an approachable Belgian beer that people could drink more than one of. I wanted to use a simple malt bill with British crystal malts to provide a nice sweetness that doesn’t get muddled with the yeast character and the hops. To add an American element, Chinook hops were used for bittering, which adds a piney flavor. Saaz hops were added for aroma that blends well with the yeast. I selected a yeast that adds Belgian yeast character without going overboard with phenols. I wanted to make a beer that used ingredients from disparate brewing traditions that worked well together.

Clear copper pour with a nice off white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma is yeasty, a little sweet and spicy. Taste is very similar. Kind of like Lawnmower with some Belgian inspiration.

Central Market bottle. Clear copper color with a small khaki head and nice lacing. Fairly light aroma with just some faint sweetness. Sweet flavor. Nice and drinkable but I’m missing the Belgian qualities.

Golden pour with a white head. Nice citrus peel aromas, particularly orange. Floral and spicy hop notes, some pepper, hints of banana, and yeast. Somewhat dry flavor with a mild bread sweetness. Notes of banana and orange, some pepper, and a hint of grass. Floral and spicy hops, mild bitterness, and yeast.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light orange brown colored body and a good lacing. . The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish malty aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of sweet brown malt hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

(12oz bottle at Dallas Winter Warmer) clear gold-orange with fine tan bubbles. Nose of Belgian yeast, agave, peppercorns, and fresh citrus. Taste is herbal, cream, peppery and well carbonated. Tastes quite Belgian for an American made beer.

A nice barnyard yeasty aroma with notes of bread and malt. Pours a clear copper with a quickly disisapating off-white head and no lacing. The taste is medium sweet with a bitter finish. A combinatin of malt, bread, and grain flavors. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, ok, but not necessarily something I’d run out amd buy more of.

Copper amber in color. I can pick up the Saaz hops in the aroma along with some caramel. Sweet malt and toffee flavors. An an enjoyable brew... Shoutout to BarZigKin for the hookup!
