A decent beer that tastes very light at first but has a nice caramel finish. The color is almost like honey and it’s easy to drink.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Beer pours a very clear orange-amber with a thin off-white head and no lacing. Aroma is very sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and some kind pumpkin spices. Taste overall is very subtle with minor hoppiness and quick finish. Very drinkable. Moderate carbonation with very little lingering effect.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with a long lasting white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of sourdough and hint of grassy hops. Body is medium and smooth. Caramel malt and herbal hops are balanced on the palate. Finish is short and slightly sweet. One of many good Oktoberfests.

From notes, 9/19/11:
Poured a 12oz bottle into a dimpled stein.
A: Burn orange to amber, 1 finger head dissipates into a thin rim that laces the glass on the way down.
S: Bready and caramel malts, that’s about it.
T: Caramel malts up front, then bready malt along with hint of Saaz hops.
M: A bit thin for an Oktoberfest, carbonated just right for the easy-drinking style.
O: If I had to choose a Texas-made Oktoberfest, I’d opt for Rahr or even Shiner over this one. Solid choice and worth trying, though.

Meh. Uneventful, syrupy, makes me look forward to winter. Not bad but I will not seek it out in the future.

Aroma is weak but toasted malts and bread come through. Pours a rich clear amber with a mostly diminishing white head. Taste is malty with bready notes. Medium bodied and smooth with minimal carbonation. Overall, its ok but nothting to write home about.
