A full bodied, malty, slightly sweet beer celebrating the Autumn harvest. This rich beer has a round malt flavor and an above average alcohol content perfect for a cool fall evening. Saint Arnold Oktoberfest is best consumed at 40° Fahrenheit.

While it is no German Oktoberfest, it is a fantastic beer to look forward to every year. While in season, it is a staple in my fridge.

Rated based on notes taken 8 Oct 2012 -- Good Marzen. High on the Munich malt keeps this beer really sweet and delicious.

Bottle pour is Amber colored, light thin head. Well carbed. Aroma of malt and light funk. Medium bodied balanced beer. Hard to say much else

Appearance: clear amber orange, with half a finger of foamy, near white head and minimal lacing. Aroma: caramel malts, light toffee, a hint of honey and cereal and brown toast. Taste: as the aroma indicates, plus a bit of toasted nuts and a hint of grassy hops. Finish: crisp and slightly sweet, with just a bit of caramel and nuts and grass. Notes: Enjoyable Okto. Good palate, flavor was balanced, body was good. Solid all-around example. Bottle from Buddy’s (Drive-Thru!) Beer Barn in El Paso, Texas.

Had not rated this in the past for some reason. Today I am doing a comparison of several Oktoberfests from various brewers and this one is among them. So far it is par with other Oktoberfest brews. So for an Oktoberfest it is a good one for the style.

From bottle. Nice autumnal orange color. No head or lacing. Nose is underwhelming--water and some malt. Good carbonation. Excellent flavor sweet in the beginning and bitter in the finish. Probably my favorite Oktoberfest.

What can I say about the Saint Arnold Oktoberfest? They just get better every year, need to enjoy it off tap and have some sauerkraut and bratwurst with it.
