Bottle at BA lounge, IAH. It pours lightly hazy rich orange - amber with a decent foamy off-white head. The aroma is malt - driven, cereal, toasted grain, cracker, bread, mild spice and mild sweetness. The taste is crisp, mellow bitterness, sharp metallic carbonation note, cereal, toasted grain, orange sponge cake, muffin, toasted grass, light alcohol and general sweetness. Finish is sweet and dry. Pretty OK for the style. It certainly drinks easier than 6.6%

Bottle - Pours medium to deep amber with white head that disappeared pretty quickly. Sweet, almost cola-like aroma. Sweet and malty, caramel, buckwheat pancakes with maple syrup, a clean hoppy after. And, excuse me, Scottish Ale? Okay. I won’t protest. Cheers.

Pours a light amber. Malt and carmel on the nose. The sweetness is almost like brown sugar simple syrup, reminiscent of pecan pie with some pie crust quality to it. Slightly sweet, malty finish, not overly crisp. Definitely a good autumn beer.
