2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Copper and very clear pour. Light head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a good balance of the two beers. First you notice the hop aroma followed by malt sweetness and finishes with some Christmas style spices. Flavor is mostly malt sweetness. High carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear amber color with a very small, filmy head. Aroma has a lot of sweetness when poured. Very strong caramel malts, apple, grape and some light orange citrus. Flavor has a perfect amount of cinnamon to compliment the apple sweetness in the beer. Notes of grape and caramel malt sweetness also come through. Body is light/modest in density with a very low amount of carbonation. The beer is pretty enjoyable. I really like the cinnamon/apple flavor of the beer and I have to compliment them on not overdoing it with the spice. An enjoyable holiday brew.

Guessing this was 2012 version. Found it in back of cellar figured it would be a waste as it was 10+ months old. I was wrong. Orange amber pour. Nice aroma of citrus malt and caramel. Soft palate with light carbonation. Tastevhas many things going on. Malt and honey/caramel up front then some holiday spices followed by muted hops. I have not had the christmas ale but I like the idea of toning down an ipa. Very niiice

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Dark copper/gold. Not much head. Nose is a bit sweet, with some nice malty tones. Taste starts off with a big blast of cinnamon and then fades down to a rich maltiness and earthy hops. Rich palate. This is much better than the original SS.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from LDHughes3! Many thanks dood. Pours orangy amber with off white head with ok retention, leaves a thick lacing coat. Nose is a tad thin. Taste starts with bourgeoning sweetness and caramel. Citrus comes mid taste. A hint of cinnamon on the finish is pleasant. Body is medium and sturdy enough to foot a solid foundation. Yum!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thin white head, hazy amber color. Slight spice and hops in the aroma, but hard to pick anything distinct. Hops are subtle (too subtle for me) and a touch of cinnamon. Seems to me this beer would be on point if everything was amped up a bit. I like the addition of cinnamon. I remember enjoying the 2011 a little more.

Much better this year with the added spices that made the hops fade to where they need to be.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Saint Arnold Sailing Santa has a rather thin, cream-colored head and a pretty clear, bubbly, copper appearance, with some lacing left behind. The aroma is subtle, but one can pick up some fruitiness and brown bread crust. Taste is of brown bread, brown sugar, fruity and piney hops, and it has a pleasant, bitter undertaste. The mouthfeel is medium, and Saint Arnold Sailing Santa finishes crisp, refreshing, pleasant, mentholated, and quite drinkable. Overall, this is a most excellent offering, and I recommend it! RJT

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle 12/14/12 (Whole Foods-AUS)-Pours a light amber with a small off white head. Aroma of hops, malt, amd cinnamon. Taste of the same with more hops. This medium bodied brew is not bad. Wish cinnamon was more prominent.
