3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clean light amber/orange hue, thin white head. Roasted malt in the nose. Sweet...really sweet. Carmel in the middle, slightly oily. Faint hop presense at finish.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This draft brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation transparent light brown colored body and a fair lacing. The almost non-existent aroma was malty and sweet. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of sweet dough caramel breads and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

no bock can even come close to this, probably houston’s best mass distributed seasonal.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a small fizzy off-white head that faded almost immediately to a very thin ring. The nose is thickly malty with a nice light-caramel sweetness. There’s a touch of alcohol coming thru as well. Smells well-lagered, no fruitiness at all, very clean. The flavor is pretty sweet, a little lacking in hops to balance things out, but again, pretty clean. Finishes with a little grainy and cereal notes and a slight alcohol hotness. A little chewy and thick with a bit too much carbonation. Pretty nice, on par with most of the offerings from these guys.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at several places in Houston. Pours amber with white head. Some light citrus and sweetness. Light mouth feel. Bready biscuity finish with no real bitterness to speak of. Fairly easy to drink, and at 6.4%, a tall one from draft will sneak up on you. Decent, but far from spectacular. It beats the usual macro offerings at most places.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear orange-amber with an average off-white head. Aroma of sweet bread, caramel, and light grassy hops. Taste is malty and somewhat sweet with a mild grassy flavor that I wouldn’t quite call bitterness. Light-medium body, slightly creamy.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is a dark copper, transparent, with a yellowish white head. The nose has hints of brown malt, loads of caramel, rather buttery caramel/toffee with a hint of grain underneath. The taste is much of the same but sweeter, buttery caramel and toffee cascade over the tongue as a fruity malt sweetness plays in back. The grain sits faintly underneath. The body is super creamy and lush, lighter carbonation but the body is actually rather airy itself.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was a hard beer to pin down. Saint Arnold Spring Bock has a thick, creamy, cream-colored head and a bubbly, clear, amber appearance. The aroma is a bit unusual with sweetness, syrup, stinging something, and a dough smell of some sort. Taste is likewise odd, with unsalted cracker, medium-roasted barley malt, bitterness, and lots of alcohol forward in the flavor. Mouthfeel is medium, and Saint Arnold Spring Bock finishes pretty crisp, dry, and refreshing. Even though it’s a weird beer, with slight ale body characteristics, I really am enjoying it, and I suggest you try it. RJT

Excellent seasonal that always seems too short lived. Strong taste with playful hops and a decent finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear dark copper with a decent sized off white head that fades to a ring. Leaves good lacing. Aroma is malt and a hint of lemon. Taste is caramel, malt, and a really nice hit of bitterness up front. Pretty full body. Good beer.
