Commercial Description:
An authentic, German-style Bock, celebrating the coming of spring. This strong, deeply flavored lager has been aged to create a smooth, malty taste with a hint of sweetness. A light addition of German hops balances the malt flavor. Saint Arnold Spring Bock is best consumed at 40° Fahrenheit.

A very simple lager, with a somewhat un-noteworthy aroma and flavor. Good, just not great. Good balance between the malt flavors and the hoppy finish.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of bread and medium notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and bread, leading to a dry and bitter finish where notes of straw lingers. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of MaltOMeal. Slightly hazy amber golden with a small, rough off-white head. Intensely sweet malt aroma with a whiff of overripe fruit and caramel. Quite full-bodied, very solid malt base, some caramel and overripe fruit but also detergents. Finishes dry with some alcohol present. 201008

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with a diminished white head. Light spiced and malty dry aroma. Flavour is smooth breadish and light roasted malty to breadish. Ends slight breadish and mild bitter.

Bottle. [Tasting @ Papsoe 20-10-2008] Average fine bubbled off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Light cloudy amber color. Aroma of lovely rye bread, grain, caramelized, toasted to almost mild roasted notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness. Malty sweet finish.

Pours a slightly cloudy orange/red with a small white head. Smells of spices, alcohol, malt, and honey. First taste sweet and floral and even with tons of honey notes present, this beer falls off as it is devoid of much other flavor. Not impressed.
