An authentic, German-style Bock, celebrating the coming of spring. This strong, deeply flavored lager has been aged to create a smooth, malty taste with a hint of sweetness. A light addition of German hops balances the malt flavor. Saint Arnold Spring Bock is best consumed at 40° Fahrenheit.

Aroma is of caramel malt with hints of brandy. Taste is a strong sweet caramel and lots of peppery alcohol. Very dry, crisp mouthfeel. Tastes as if it may have been aged a bit in a barrel. Strong hop bitterness. Lacks complexity and depth of character. Drinkable.

Pours a medium yellow color. Aromas of malts, something fruity, and some grass. Flavor malty and crisp with some nice hop finish.

Flew into Houston and had this beer. This was in March 2015. Still as fresh in my mind as it was in March. Hats off to you all at Saint Arnold. What a tasty and refreshing beer this was.

Pale amber pour. The nose is quite malty. A little bit of toast and some nice peppery character. There’s a little bit of nice sweetness and a clean, well-lagered finish. There’s a little bit of lingering sweetness. Pretty nice brew. There’s a touch of soft stickiness. Solid.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours with a small head that vanishes instantly. A bit of lacing, but it’s gone quickly too. Deep clear copper. Caramel malts and a bready smell. The flavor is redeeming. Caramel malts dominate, of course. Slight bitterness, but I’d hardly call it a hop presence. Not sweet a all. Just caramel goodness. Has a very bready finish. Good carbonation, just a bit thin.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2015 Tap into pint. Hazy apricot color, fine thick textured white head. Nose of peah with a hint of hops. In the mouth, light with bright pint hops.medium finish with more hops, not as much fruit as I hoped from the nose.good easy drinking pale ale

Straight from a bottle off a sixer. Aromas of heavy malt and caramel. Notes come in strong with malt first then dissapates into nice caramel finish with slight booze and yeast. Pretty good stuff, enjoy slightly cool almost room temp, not to cold or the beer will not taste right.

12 oz. bottle from crajun. Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have some sweet malts, caramel, bready malts, mild floral hops, I thought this was pretty good for the style.

Had on tap at Jack Mac’s in Dallas. Pours amber with a thin persistent off white head. Aroma is malty and toffee, with a very slight roastiness. Flavor follows and is fairly sweet. Overall, nice beer.

Light booze; spicy, earthy hops; ink; and cereal in the nose. The mouthfeel is oily and slow, with medium viscosity and prickly carbonation. The taste is boozy/malty bitter up front, with spicy hops taking the lead towards the middle and a whisper of toffee towards the end, for an otherwise dry and mineraly finish. Serviceable, but not my thing.
