A true bohemian-style pilsner. Crisp and refreshing, this beer is perfect for a hot summer day. Saint Arnold Summer Pils has a delicate, sweet malt taste complemented by an abundant hop aroma and flavor. This beer is brewed with fine German malt, and a copious quantity of "noble" hops imported from the Czech Republic. Saint Arnold Summer Pils is best consumed at 36° Fahrenheit

Pours clear gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma is faint malt and a hint of lemon. Taste has a really nice malt sweetness with some fruit. Very crisp with nice bitterness. A little more body than I was expecting. Very good pils.

Bottle- Pours a light golden color with a good head and decent lacing. Grainy aroma with a hint of pine and malt sweetness. Taste of malt sweetness with some grain and bit of fruit. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, nicely balanced. Good summertime beer. Goes best with the hot Texas weather.

Bottled. Poured hazy pale golden with a dense, sticky white head. The aroma picked up bread and honey sweetness, with accents of grass and lemon zest.. a little dank on the back of the nose.. not bad. The flavor found similar malts at the core, with honey leading.. dry and grainy on the edges, with dusty lemon and a touch of related sourness.. too much sugarage to really be refreshing.. just OK. Light-bodied, dry, and grainy on the palate, with prickly carbonation and other sourness on the edges.. decent feel and flow.

Bottle:   Pale straw, fairly clear, thin white head, sparce lacing, sparce carbonation.   Strong assertive grassiness and straw on the nose.   Sweet grassiness up front, strong hay/straw in a sweet sorta way.   More flavorful than most Pilsners.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Pretty hefty maltiness... me like!   Soft straw/hay lingers, not as sweet as the start tho.   This was fairly nice.   Not sure why you would want to drink it as cold as the suggested 36F tho given its pretty tasty.   Thanks for the bottle Bill!

This was a fairly good pilsner. Pours up a very clear, light yellow/amber body with a minimal fizzy head. Scents and flavors of malts and hops entice the senses. Just the right bitter kick on this smooth and easy drinking brew. Makes for a good session brew on a hot summer day.

12oz bottle from Mora2000, thanks Bill! Pours a crystal clear, hay-yellow colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is a mix of grass, hay, fruit, grainy cereals and pale malts, and a touch of honey-bread. Flavor is similar. A light fruit and crisp, clean pale malts with a touch of honey sweetness up front. A light hay, grass, and floral as this gets a bit grainy. Finishes dry with a light grassy bitterness, a light fruit, and a light cereal grain sweetness. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a light body and moderate carbonation. Overall, not a bad pils. Easy drinking, clean, and crisp with a solid flavor. Light malt sweetness with a pleasant grassy, hay bitterness and touch of floral fruitiness. Nothing special, but not bad at all.

Bottle. Aroma is faint hops. Not much more other than slight hay. Pours light straw, with puffy lingering head. Taste is crisp and refreshing with nice hop counterbalance. All in all a good summer pilsner. Uncomplicated and not heavy.

tap at flying saucer in Dallas (lake) pours lite yellow with a small fizzy white head around the rim of the glass. nose of grains, lite spicy hops, cereal, and toasted bread. flavors are a bit more grassy than expected from the nose-very crisp, grainy flavors with a touch of lite noble hops. this one is pretty decent and very lite. could easily session this on this hot 104 degree Dallas day! perfect example of this very under-apreaciated style.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. Clear honey gold. A smallish white head. Light carbonation. Honey flavor. Also, some decent grain and malt. Throw in a dash of earth. Not a bad beer.
