COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true bohemian-style pilsner. Crisp and refreshing, this beer is perfect for a hot summer day. Saint Arnold Summer Pils has a delicate, sweet malt taste complemented by an abundant hop aroma and flavor. This beer is brewed with fine German malt, and a copious quantity of "noble" hops imported from the Czech Republic. Saint Arnold Summer Pils is best consumed at 36° Fahrenheit

tap at flying saucer in Dallas (lake) pours lite yellow with a small fizzy white head around the rim of the glass. nose of grains, lite spicy hops, cereal, and toasted bread. flavors are a bit more grassy than expected from the nose-very crisp, grainy flavors with a touch of lite noble hops. this one is pretty decent and very lite. could easily session this on this hot 104 degree Dallas day! perfect example of this very under-apreaciated style.

Bottle from Kroger. Light pour with a big white head. Aroma is soft and a little floral. Taste is kinda spicy, a little caramel, and carbonated. Nice finish.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. Clear honey gold. A smallish white head. Light carbonation. Honey flavor. Also, some decent grain and malt. Throw in a dash of earth. Not a bad beer.

On tap. Poured a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a good amount of grain and hay with a bit of an earth note and some sweetness coming in. Flavor was similar with lots of hay and earthy grains backed by a bit of sweetness. Lacked

Aroma hay, grassy hops, clear light gold color, quickly receding white head. Sweet, light malt taste. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice malty finish with a snap of hops. Does not quite hit the mark as a pilsner (not quite enough hop character), but an enjoyable lager a step above the mass market stuff.

Saint Arnold Summer Pils has a very thin, white head and a slightly hazy, straw appearance. Some decent lacing is left behind. The aroma is a delightful bready malt, and the taste is a sugary, confectionery sweet, white bread flavor with a mildly bitter hop bite. The mouthfeel is light and watery, and Saint Arnold Summer Pils finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. Overall, this is a delicious offering from the Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2011 Pours extremely pale yellow with a small white head. Grassy aroma, flavor adds more fruit and floral notes. Quite full-bodied and dry on the tongue.

Poured out of the bottle a pale straw color. Aroma smelled of grass and floral. Taste was light with barely detectable bitterness and went down really easy and smooth. Overall not a bad beer, just nothing to write home about.

Bottle 12 oz - This is a true tasting pilsner with a little more mouthfill then the regular stuff. They certainly used Czech Saaz noble hops and plenty of it without being over hoppy or bittery. Slightly dry bittering on the back of the toung. Out of all the S.A. brews, this is the best one coming out of the bottle ....but I still in favor of the amber ale out of the tap.

Received in trade from TexIndy, thanks for the opportunity. Wow this is the lightest colored beer that I’ve had in a while. Pours a clear light golden/straw color with a bubbly one finger white head that sticks around for a while. Smells of grass, apples, sweet malt, a bit grainy. Taste is grainy and grassy with a hint of fruit and a slight sulfur. Finishes dry with a lingering light fruitiness. Carbonation is crisp, body is light, mouthfeel is lightly syrupy. Very light refreshing beer. Reminds me of a macro, only better. I could see myself drinking many of these on a hot summer day.
