COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true bohemian-style pilsner. Crisp and refreshing, this beer is perfect for a hot summer day. Saint Arnold Summer Pils has a delicate, sweet malt taste complemented by an abundant hop aroma and flavor. This beer is brewed with fine German malt, and a copious quantity of "noble" hops imported from the Czech Republic. Saint Arnold Summer Pils is best consumed at 36° Fahrenheit

Bottle courtesy of lb4lb. Pours yellow with a white head. Smells of crisp dry malt, splashes of pepper, some hints of citrus. Tastes breaddy with some nice pilsner malt touches and an underlying bitterness. Decent.

Bottle:   Pale straw, fairly clear, thin white head, sparce lacing, sparce carbonation.   Strong assertive grassiness and straw on the nose.   Sweet grassiness up front, strong hay/straw in a sweet sorta way.   More flavorful than most Pilsners.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Pretty hefty maltiness... me like!   Soft straw/hay lingers, not as sweet as the start tho.   This was fairly nice.   Not sure why you would want to drink it as cold as the suggested 36F tho given its pretty tasty.   Thanks for the bottle Bill!

On tap: Straw hue with little head and no lacing. After a deep inhale, detected a very light nose of german hops, toasted malts, flowers, and hint of wheat. Mild hoppy bitterness and malt sweetness taste, finish is clean. Thin and watery mouthfeel. Not much here. Well it's somewhat refreshing for a 1st beer after a 103 degree day in Houston.

12oz bottle courtesy of Cavie and poured into a footed pils glass. Pours fizzy clear pale yellow like a macro and smells about like one as well. Aroma is grainy malt, sweet corn, fruity apples, and a touch of hop. The flavor delivers decently, though, with big fresh pils malt flavor, a sweet middle, and a nice balancing dry finish. Mouthfeel is light and high carbonation so it goes down smoooooooth, baby.

The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is grassy hops with some bready malt. The flavor is hoppy, but the bread/toffee malt make the beer very well balanced. There is some grassyness in the flavor from the hops. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A nice, easy drinking balanced pilsner. Nothing too exciting, but a good beer to drink the hot months.

Smells like sourdough bread. Pours a nice golden color with a small thin velvetty white head. Wow this is a hoppy ass pilsner. Super sour and crisp hoppy bite starts the flavor. This is "balanced" by some biscuity notes, but the hops dominate this beer fo sho. The finish is dry and crisp with a lemony sourness and residual bready malt sugar that hangs around after the beer is swallowed. A nice pils.

(12oz bottle dated 06-07-10) clear golden pour with a long lasting white frothy head. Noseof plastic, sugar, and sweet cereal grain. Taste of old stale grain, sweet cracker, wet cardboard, strangely there is alcohol too, butter and earthy. Apples linger on the palate, creamy body and watery.

Bottle extra in a trade. Pours a pale yellow body with a thin white head. Grainy and simple with a light grassy hoppiness. eh.
