COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true bohemian-style pilsner. Crisp and refreshing, this beer is perfect for a hot summer day. Saint Arnold Summer Pils has a delicate, sweet malt taste complemented by an abundant hop aroma and flavor. This beer is brewed with fine German malt, and a copious quantity of "noble" hops imported from the Czech Republic. Saint Arnold Summer Pils is best consumed at 36° Fahrenheit

Not bad for a blandly flavored pils. A bit of a sweet finish, light aroma, light flavor. This is a lawnmower or "pass to your BMC buddies" beer. Pretty light, drinkable, but nothing exceptional.

On draft at IAH. Yay Houston. Poured a light gold, slight head. Aroma of pale malt, lightly grassy hops. Flavor matched. Lawnmower beer, but a nice one.

Clear yellow, decent lasting lacing foam head. Barley aroma and taste, not quite a pilsener to my buds. (Houston 201505)

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden, thin white head with good retention. Champagne like bubbles. Aroma is thin, cereal light citrus. Taste is cereal, grain, mild bitterness. Clean. Light body, medium carbonation. Good clean summer beer, but not a super flavorful pils.

Ghastly can. Clear yellow beer. Smells like beer. Cereal flavor up front, decent bittering. Hops stick around. Decent, drinkable, nothing fancy. ABC Liquors, Betton.

Pours a clear yellow from the bottle with thin white head that leaves minimal lace. Aroma of nice pils malt and clean fruity yeast. Taste follows, hint of grass thrown in. A typical pilsener, unimpressive but easy and light for warm weather.

Decent for what it is. Faint grain aroma with lager yeastiness. Light golden color with plenty of clarity. Light and watery palate with high carbonation. Flavors were pale malt with an earthy oak hint tasted as the beer warmed a bit. I do agree with the brewery’s recommendation that this is best served cold.

As far as pilsners go, this was pretty solid. I don’t typically love the style but this one had a nice crisp nose of citrus and notes of smooth malt. Flavor was super drinkable, citrus notes but nothing bitter. Smooth malt and crisp finish. I dig it for sure

Bottle @ Greg’s dump, pregaming Trailhead Tuesday. Pours a dark yellow appearance with a white head. Fairly spicy, herbal noble hops in the aroma along with a slightly mineral-like smell. Somewhat sweet flavor. Toasted grains. Herbal hops. A bit chalky. Light fruitiness. Not all that offensive but a bit sweet.

As with most stuff from saint arnold, they took a sort of bland style and made an above average version. Not great, but above average. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
