legion242 (1572), Richardson, Texas, USA Jul 13, 2004 I can not believe that I never got around to rating this one. Every summer, it is my favorite beer- it is all I drink when I visit the saucer- just very refreshing with a ton of character. Earlier Rating: 10/8/2001 Total Score: 3.2 Tasty and refreshing pilsner. Dry hoppy flavors stand well. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Sep 16, 2005 WOW, For a pilsner this beer tastes friggin great!!! I’ve never tasted a pilsner with so much complexity. Beutiful white head that leaves a little something down the glass...I LOVE Saint Arnold Beers and here’s another to prove why!! RCL (1444), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Aug 30, 2008 Excellent, underrated pils. Bready with herbal hops. Nice and hoppy for the style. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 21, 2007 Bottle. Very carbonated - almost seems like champagne in appearance. Nice foamy head atop a light golden color. Yeasty and fruity smell. Leaves a slightly doughy aftertaste in the mouth. Enjoyable and easy to drink. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA Dec 1, 2000 A good summer beer as it is refreshing and clean, little or no after taste. A drinkable brew. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Jun 23, 2008 TB, Text Book-Tim Burgess-same thing. Pours creamy yellow with a tall lasting head. Good lacing with aromas of barnyard hops. Medium nectar with good residual carbonation. Malty sweetness balanced by fresh grassy hops. Goes down like cold milk after a plate of the finest Mexican food. The finish lingers with citrus rind. A rather nice specimen worthy of a better score. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 21, 2004 Updated: Oct 11, 2005Poured yellow and fizzy with a thin white head...smell was very faint (perhaps I had an old bottle), but what was there was a little skunky and faint soap...taste was much heavier malted than I’d thought...sour nasty finish... Earlier Rating: 8/5/2004 Total Score: 3.4 Yellow with little head...a little lemony aroma...nothing too amazing here...definately crisp and refreshing though... bleeng (587), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA Jun 20, 2005 bottle.
Label says Summer Pils-this is a high density pils the way it should be made. Heavy malts and flavor that goes down well on a typical 95F Texas summer day. Well done.
