stefanje (540), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Apr 27, 2008 12 oz bottle from zinister. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow gold color with a small white head. The aroma is light with weak bananas and a trace of cardboard. The flavor shows a bit of banana and some weak grains. The mouthfeel is light with carbonation that is just a bit too prickly. The finish is short and clean. Overall: This is a very ordinary wheat , and also a very quaff-able one. It goes down easy, not a great but very nice.
Swalden_28 (536), McKinney, Texas, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle from Market Street in Allen, TX.
Pours yellow with faint orange highlights, white head. Has very nice, crisp citris aroma. Flavor has very nice use of malt with some citris flavors. Body is light, crisp, and refreshing, high carbonation. Over all, I really like this wheat beer....Perfect for the Texas summer down by the pool or by the grill.. emacgee (1010), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 8, 2008 Not very much sediment in this one. Pours fairly clear, copper gold. One finger frothy white head. The nose wasn’t what I was looking for in a wheat either. Grainy, corn, grassy, not much wheat evident in the traditional sense. Flavor is similar, tastes bad, grassy wheat. Not even easy to drink. Beerlando (1237), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 28, 2008 pours a clear dark golden color. A foamy, off-white head dissipates quickly, leaving hardly any lacing behind. Aromas include cereal grains, wet cardboard, sweet, pale malts, and a touch of honey. Flavors basically follow along those same, underwhelming lines. Stale, nondescript, boring malts meet faint floral hop notes and dry, soured grains. Light in body and syrupy in texture, this brew falls short in every area. texasbartender (151), Sugarland, Texas, USA May 14, 2008 The beer poured a very clear golden color that I did not expect from a wheat beer. The nose is a sweet mix of malts with a hint of earthy grasses and some wild honey. The nose had a strange funk to it. Overall a very unimpressive beer. It lacked a definition or personality. blutt59 (624), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 29, 2008 12 0z. bottle, clear yellow color with minimal head, I did not get much wheat in this at all, tasted much more like a plain lager, palate and finish were ok but not what I would want in a wheat
