3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
355ml twist off bottle. Pee gold with a fizzy quickly dissipating head. The aroma is tart with grain husk and a hint of sugar. Flavor has some banana and spice notes. Perhaps a large red kristalweizen? It drinks okay. Not like a koelsch but decent. Edit; upon entering my notes here I see it is indeed what I thought it was and on purpose, phew.

Dear brewer: If you are going to do wheat beer, do wheat beer. If you are going to do Kölsch, stick to Kölsch. Fails as a Kölsch (as does lawnmower) and is actually a run of the mill, watery wheat beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 02-18-2013 at Saint Arnold B.C. This draft beer has a small white head with a lengthy retention, transparent straw body, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is yeast, grainy, grassy, banana, spice, clove, and malt. The flavor is yeast, clove, spice, banana, sweet, and malt. The mouthfeel is smooth and dry. This beer is light-medium bodied. This beer is quaffable and a session beer. It has a nice flavor to it and is worth trying.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crisp, super golden coloured body with a very slight haze to it, all with a single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, hay, funk and a ton of yeast - more notes from that than anything, but a subtle banana smell as well on the finish - very nice. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and hay flavour at first with a large banana and clove freshness, some subtle white pepper and coriander seed freshness and a hint of light alcohol at the end. Aftertaste is very muted with the wheat, grass, yeast and banana flavours coming out by far the strongest, meanwhile a subtle sweetness and airy freshness finishes it off. Overall, a very nice refreshing summer beer that says kolsch but tastes like a well-balanced and more flavourful german hef. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whip-In in Austin, Texas on 05-May-2014 for US$2,69 sampled at home in Washington on 18-October-2014.

I very much enjoyed this beer. The banana taste was very surprising and tastey. Some sediment in mine but nothing to be worried about. Had a good frothy head and very light to drink

Pours a golden color with white head. Yeast and cereal grain on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes dirty like the lawnmower.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A- Wheat, grassy, bready.
A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head.
T- Subtle spice, yeasty, wheat, banana.
P- Light body, average texture, high carbonation, smooth dry finish.
O- At first sip, I though wow, this tastes more like a hefe than a kolsch, then I come here to read it uses Bavarian yeast. That would make sense. This beer is a great summer beer that is hard not to just chug instead of taking the time to enjoy it.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2015 You’ve got to love a beer that’s self-aware. With a name like Weedwacker, you can expect that this brew is made with warm weather in mind. To that end, Weedwacker performs deftly. The straw-colored body and sudsy head create a sexy appearance. Aroma is soft but has lots of sweet grain notes. Flavor is straightforward but brilliantly executed. Smooth malt and subtle yeast at the start and bright, clean, crisp, grassy hops at the end. That finish makes the word "refreshing" seem inadequate. If you can manage not to chug this beer, you’ll be rewarded with a lot of perfectly-balanced malty awesomeness. On a hot summer day this sure beats (wacks?) the hell out of light beer.
