COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first release in our Moveable Yeast series, Weedwacker is the result of our pitching Lawnmower wort (wort is the unfermented beer) with Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast. Weedwacker will be available draft only. This is a study in how different yeasts have different effects on beers. Note: As the base beer for this beer is a Kolsch, this beer will remain in the Kolsch style.

Saint Arnold Weedwacker has a creamy, medium white head and a hazy, swirling straw appearance, with lots of lacing rings and many little floating particles. Lots of streaming bubbles appear. The aroma is of sugar, corriander, banana, spice, and cake. The flavor is similar- so spicy and rich. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Saint Arnold Weedwacker finishes semi-dry and pretty crisp. Overall, this is a most excellent beer. RJT

Kolsch? I thought was some sort of wheat. Weird. At any rate, it does a good job of being refreshing and flavorful. Notes of citrus, pepper, and some other lightly fruity flavors throughout. Pretty enjoyable on a 90 degree evening...Thanks to rougeau13 for the trade!

Foggy yellow pour with a small white lacy head. Great summer thirst quencher .

Light gold, dissipating white head. Nice aroma, bready, hops, yeast, bit floral. On the thin side, light, a bit frivolous, but tasty, leans bitter. Wouldn’t be averse to sessioning it.

Pours hazy gold with a lasting white head. Aroma is yeast and faint citrus. Taste is citrus, some sweet maltiness, and some spice. Like a mild hefe. Very refreshing and good overall.

pour is a dirty pale yellow with some sentiment floating around and a thin white head. You can smell the kolch notes, sweet caramel and roasted nuts, faint Saison yeast and spice. Sweet citrus and orange peel. The taste is more simple and a touch empty. Fair Saison yeast, very light spice, almost none of the malt notes, coriander, orange peel. Highly carbonated, fairly dry, firm body.

Tap. Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is much more Hefe than Kolsch. Big fluffy yeast with light bubblegum and a touch of clove over bready pale malts. The flavor is spicy and very yeasty with great bubblegum notes and a light floral like hoppiness on the finish. Nice length to the finish for such a light beer. Medium bodied with a nice fluffy texture and fine fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice refreshing beer. Not really thought of as a Kolsh as far as my rate is concerned though. In that case it would be a pretty horrible Kolsch.

Slightly stale, clean aroma. Body of a koelsch with Belgian sensibilities-very floral for a koelsch, but mild-moderate on an absolute scale. Lingering banana on the tongue. Overall, not a classic koelsch, but not bad, either.

Lighter than the stouts I tend to favor, but still had some qualities that I liked. Not my favorite.
