COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first release in our Moveable Yeast series, Weedwacker is the result of our pitching Lawnmower wort (wort is the unfermented beer) with Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast. Weedwacker will be available draft only. This is a study in how different yeasts have different effects on beers. Note: As the base beer for this beer is a Kolsch, this beer will remain in the Kolsch style.

Slightly stale, clean aroma. Body of a koelsch with Belgian sensibilities-very floral for a koelsch, but mild-moderate on an absolute scale. Lingering banana on the tongue. Overall, not a classic koelsch, but not bad, either.

Pours a golden color with white head. Yeast and cereal grain on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes dirty like the lawnmower.

Bottle. A- Wheat, grassy, bready. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Subtle spice, yeasty, wheat, banana. P- Light body, average texture, high carbonation, smooth dry finish. O- At first sip, I though wow, this tastes more like a hefe than a kolsch, then I come here to read it uses Bavarian yeast. That would make sense. This beer is a great summer beer that is hard not to just chug instead of taking the time to enjoy it.

You’ve got to love a beer that’s self-aware. With a name like Weedwacker, you can expect that this brew is made with warm weather in mind. To that end, Weedwacker performs deftly. The straw-colored body and sudsy head create a sexy appearance. Aroma is soft but has lots of sweet grain notes. Flavor is straightforward but brilliantly executed. Smooth malt and subtle yeast at the start and bright, clean, crisp, grassy hops at the end. That finish makes the word "refreshing" seem inadequate. If you can manage not to chug this beer, you’ll be rewarded with a lot of perfectly-balanced malty awesomeness. On a hot summer day this sure beats (wacks?) the hell out of light beer.

Truly sweet and leafy. Has a lemon lime start and finish with leafy hoppy very slight bitterness. Perfect summer brew! I actually just finished mowing

bottle. Golden with small head. Light body with a hint of banana sweetness and some mild but crisp hops. Makes more sense to my tastebuds now that I see it’s a kolsch with hefe yeast.

Bottle - Sweet honey, lemon and a touch of banana. Hazy gold with a decent white head. Banana, honey and a touch of tartness in the finish. Not bad, bun nothing great.

This is my first kolsch so I have nothing to compare it to. My first impression is it's a little grape/winey, lemon, orange, wheat, viney. Not hoppy, not overly dry or sweet. Moderate mouthfeel, moderate carb. Overall very light and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In comparison to the fancy lawnmower. The beer starts typical wheat-beer-like. Smooth, yeasty, some banana. The mainpart is fresh, smooth, slightly sweet and wheatbeerish. In the aftertaste long, intense yeasty, fresh and malty with a slight sweetness.
Nice fresh beer! --> 12/12/12/12

Toned down Hefeweizen taste. Pretty good beer. Better than lawnmower. Will have again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
