On tap at brewery. Murky brown pour with a white head. This is a very well done weizenbock with all of the notes you expect. I get a lot of clove and banana notes as well as some toffee and caramel malt. The alcohol is noticeable but not distracting or overpowering. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice beer. Hope they make this beer again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours opaque purplish-brown with two fingers of pale head. Clove, banana, plum and caramel but not as sweet as that sounds. Another limited release that needs to be in the regular rotation.

This was a tricky beer. It looks so dark, but tastes so much lighter... like a Weizen should. I’m just thinking wheat. Is that even the same? Ill look it up now... Well either way, it was very drinkable and I enjoyed it.

Sample at the tasting room. Cloudy brown pour with a medium off-white head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and bananas. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, chocolate covered bananas and fruity yeast. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

On tap at Untapped fest. After trying Bishop’s Barrel No. 4 I was really excited to try this.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a cloudy brown with medoum beige head that lasts awhile. The aroma is roast, banana, and clove. Thin mouthfeel with sweet malt with strong banana and nice sweet finish. Good.

On tap at the Bearded Lady for their Icon Gold glass night. Glad I ran into a keg of this. Pours a murky brown color with maroon highlights. Creamy beige head. Aroma is sweet malt, banana and fruit, and perhaps some Belgian sugar. Flavor is also nice and sweet with a heavy malty backbone supported by fruity banana and yeasty qualities. An all around solid example of the style.
