Dark brown pour with medium tan head. A little bit of lacing. Roasty, chocolaty aroma. Similar flavors although coffee also comes through fairly classic stout flavors. ---Rated via iPhone

Easy to drink. Not to dry more on the sweet side with some chocolate notes. Well balanced.

Enjoyable but a little watery. Short on flavors. Probably more true to stout that the super hopped and malted ones but would still like a little more to be going on.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear reddish brown color with a razer thin tan top. Taste of roasted and toasted malts, sweet chocolate, and little to no coffee flavor. Medium carbonation, boring medium body. Meh

Deep ruddy brown pour, roasty aroma, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate flavor with chocolate finish. Okay, a little dull.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2015 Pours black with a hint of brown head from tap into a pint glass. Aroma is a nice if not strong roasted malt. Tastes nice and sweet with a balanced roasted bitterness. Some chocolate flavors. Carbonation is strong and feels thick. Nice enjoyable beer that doesn?t dominate

Pours a dark brown with tan head. Roasted malt is foremost on the nose, with a little chocolate and a hint of coffee; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more roasted flavors. Solid stout.

Texas winter stout that falls a bit short in flavour. St. Arnold does a good job with the consistency and complexion of this offering but the execution on the taste component leaves a bit to be desired.

Rated on 02-18-2013 at Saint Arnold B.C. This bottled beer pours a small creamy, smooth tan head that mostly diminishes, opaque body and no carbonation. The aroma is roasted malt, spicy, chocolate, and light coffee. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is smooth and thin. This beer is light bodied. Overall, this beer is very thin bodied for the style.

Bottle. Pours clear ruby hazel, pretty not dark for a stout. Small fizzy tan head that dissipates quickly leaving some lacing. At least its a pretty color. Aroma is roasty, cocoa, some spices. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, toffee, roast and a bit of spice. Light acidity, some dark bready notes. Light body for style. Meh

Bottle - Light sweet chocolate notes. Jet black with a thin beige head. Light chocolate and roast malts. Sweet and a little lacking in complexity, but decent.
