mgermani (649), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jul 22, 2008 Pours a clear amber brown with a short-lived happy little head and minimal lacing. Aroma is sweet and spicy - delicious! Tastes nice and malty and spicy with a touch of diacetyl; plenty going on here. At first I thought it was a bit yeasty but as time went on it was the spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves - that really kicked in as it warmed. Light carbonation, body is fine - crisp, even. Nice beer, nice surprise! Thanks to Boutip for the trade! probstk (711), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Jun 5, 2008 341 ml bottle from Trappe a Fromage, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.\

App.: Clear, deep amber, smallish light tan head.
Aroma: Lots of cinnamon and ginger, very “pumpkin spice”, floral honey, oranges, a little alcohol, other fruitiness.
Palate: Medium body, very low effervescence, a touch astringent.
Flav.: Burnt sugar and bread crust, more cinnamon, allspice and ginger, less of the fruits, a little wood; somewhat sweet, a touch of brightness, a touch of bitterness; leaves light toasted malts and a little bit of the spices.

Never a fan of spice brews and certainly not what I expected here. I will Avoid Eveque. pforei (337), USA Jun 2, 2008 Bottle. Rich amber modreate head for the style.
