Drank in a trappist glass. Obvious pitch black poor with a thin brown head. Yeast is the predominant aromas, added the black coffee beans and dark non sweetened chocolate. Mmm... did not expect this to the palate... very well balanced stout... good bitterness, very creamy mouthfeel... Taste is preaty good considering its 4.5%... I didnt have any expectations drinking this... But it did impress me!

Arôme torréfié/chocolaté. Un stout sec et mince qui développe des flaveurs bien définies de malt et de céréale torréfié. C’est rare de goûter à un stout aussi rafraichissant.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light roasted malt notes with some coffee notes as well. Taste is also dominated by some light roasted bitter notes with some medium dry coffee notes and some subtle black chocolate notes also recognisable. Full body with good carbonation for the style. I thought this was lacking a bit of character but still very enjoyable for the style.

Pours a black color with small brown highlights and a medium diminishing tan head. Dominating aroma of molasses with some roastyness. The molasses are less dominating in the flavor but it’s still there, the roasted/toasted maltyness and coacoa is more expressive in the flavor, it feels more sweet than dry in the finish. The body is light with an oily texture and moderate carbonation. This is not a great stout but still I kind of like it, it’s easy to drink.
