Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is earth, caramel hops, mild sourness and some slight tobaccoish notes. Flavour is wood, some mild caramel, mild licorice as well as some sour fruityness. Long earthy and sappy dry finish.

Oct 27, 2008 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a large, creamy, off-white head and a deep brown body. Aroma of really strong cinnamon, raisins, brandy and dough. Taste is brandy, dough, vegitables, and cinnamon. Creamy mouthfeel with very light carbonation.

Oct 26, 2008 bottle from bu11zeye. brown pour with a tiny bit of cream froth. thick scent of vanilla and oak. very sweet malts with a very sweet finish. not too shabby overall.

Dark ruby color, small steady beige head. Fruity, toffee aroma. Slightly sour, toffeish (vintage) notes. Dark fruits. Ageing has made body quite thin, madeira wine -like. Foamy carbonation. Aged better than Ambree.
