3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Booths, Ilkley. Hazy gold. Lots of lumps. Thin, lacing, lasting, white head. Beautiful, rhubarb and vanilla custard nose. Which, you might imagine, is what the brewers were aiming for. Whatever, this is light sour, and soft, fruity sweet. Drinks slightly tart, oily bitter, with a gentle, organic sweetness. The oily palate tempers the bittersweet elements beautifully. Finishes light tart, and oily bitter. Stupidly drinkable.

Bottle at hotel from NYSA
Lightly hazy pale blonde with offwhite lacing. Herbal earthy, lightly funky with some tart rhubarb. Medium body, zippy carbonation, plenty of rhubarb in taste, balanced with a dry earthy yet tart finish. Well executed but not really IPA

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle from beermerchants.com. Pours a hazy orange with medium white head. Lovely sweet rhubarb nose, could’ve done with a little more in taste but still a great summery beer.

DWF; Bottle 33 l with a flip top. Belgium IPAs is strange, but anything mixed with Belgium yeast is still good.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear, pale golden body with a large, creamy, white head that laces the glass excellently. Acidic and strong aroma of rhubarb and yeasty notes that actually reminds me of a saison. The rhubarb is the main contributor in the strong flavour as well, with additional generic overripe fruity notes, caramel and vague hints of saison-ish yeast with a slight barnyard feel. The taste is moderate to light sweet, light to moderate acidic and moderate bitter. There are very few hoppy notes left in this ageing IPA. Mid-bodied, dry and with a moderate carbonation. A nice beer, but I tasted this one together with my own rhubarb IPA (Rabarbrapapa from 2012(!)), and I actually liked mine better.

Le nez tire sur l’agrume et la rhubarbe, un peu le sur. En bouche c’est pétillant, citrique, agrume et fruits exotiques. C’est bien fait. Bottle from Page24 Brewery.
