This beer was a pleasant surprise - which is not to say that it was great, but rather a unique and fun beer. Very thin appearance and whiff of booze made it seem like something in the Duvel family. Overall impression is of a Belgian to which some west coast hops have been added (plus the Rhub’ from the name). Not hoppy to the extent you would expect from an IPA, but a nice light clean and refreshing experience.

Bottle 0,33l. served in Speglau IPA. Aroma: Citrus, fruit. Apperance: Pours hazy straw colour with a white head. Taste: Slightly sour, fruity, citrust. Palate: Medium cabonation. Pleasant rhubard aftertaste. I would not call it an IPA, but nice and fresh none the less.

Bottle 33cl, Vinmonopolet. Like most fruit beers, it takes a few sips to get used to this. But when accustomed to the taste, I want more. Lightly sour, the rhubarb taste is pleasant and signignificant in the aftertaste.

Zekada (183) - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - OCT 8, 2014
Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Smell is sweet and citrusy with a lot of tropicsl fruits together with some hops. Pours a darker hazy yellow with a medium porous white head. Taste is special. Some smokiness and some saltiness, a subtle bitterness of hops and grass, very pleasant. Though palate leaves more to wish. Overall a surprising beer with a interesting taste.

Bottle from La Cellier Vitreen, Vitre, Brittany, France. This is a hazy straw coloured beer with a zesty citrus and slight tart ‘Saison-like’ flavour, fruity ester notes and a slight sour finish.
