Rich amber coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall tan head and a good copper glow. Aroma of hay, grass, coriander seed, malt, nuts and a very light hint of caramelised sugars. Medium-bodied; Assertive dry and herbal flavoured yeast flavours up front with a little malt and a lot of funky grain and wheat right behind and nothing flavourful in a good way - just bitterness with a defined nuttiness and some stale sugars. Aftertaste is bland to bad with some malt and grain and a touch of sugar. Overall, a pretty poor beer, especially for the style and even more so, considering the price. If you ripped this label off this and gave it to 100 people, 99 would say that this beer is not worth one single US dollar, period. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from The Proper Pour (@TheSource) in Denver, Colorado on 07-June-2014 for US$7,00 (yes, seven American dollars for this one small format bottle) sampled back home in Washington on 04-August-2014.

33cl bottle into improper glassware - nose is straw, hay and spicy. Sip adds dandelion or some rural lettuce. It could be tropical fruit as well. Who knows? Introduces very different flavors for the style in my opinion. Definitely stands out.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, Gewürze, getreidig. Geschmack getreidig süß, leicht fruchtig, Gewürze, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange gold with small off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is wheat, grain, and fruit. Medium mouthfeel with a skunky taste and light fruit. Something off with this bottle.

Hazy amber color, puffy cream head, decent lacing. Dusty nose is muted, cardboard hints and perfume give support to a generally sweet tea quality and faint alcohol heat as it opens up. Flavor is heavy sweetness in bubble gum up front, stinging, then empty oxidation in tea leaves and cardboard, lightly spicy grains at the end. Flabby, all over, and not holding up.

Bottle: Hazy pale amber color, off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, herbal and yeasty. Flavour is floral, herbal, caramelic with barrel notes and a herbal, quite intensive bitterness.

Clean amber body and off white head. Light funk, making this more interesting. Further has a yeasty, doughy base malt with small caramel notes and a refined moderate hop profile. Very pleasant and interesting taste, saison like yeast -- nee, Biere de Garde -- that gets a moderate yet lasting bitterness to support that yeast high hitter. It is smooth and blond and even accessible, so it will never reach high ratings, but for me a super high quality brew that I would happily recommend; especially for those who want to get into craft beer or for those that you want to force craft beer upon. ;) (33cl bottle Saveur Bière)
