Bottle@Home. Very fruity, citrus (lemon) aroma. Dark yellow, white head, good lace. Malty, pretty bitter, citrus. Very dry mouth feel. Flavourful, well done.

Hazy amber color with a large white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, vanilla, toffee malts, spices, some grass, and light baked bread. Taste of caramel malts, earthy yeast, bread, grassy bitterness, and a dry finish.

Fin (7035) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2013
Bottle picked up from Fietje, Marseille, France, June 2013 consumed at home Sunday 13th October 2013 Pours mid amber with off-white slightly creamy head. On the nose I get a little soft fuzzy fruit such as peach or nectarine but bit unripe. Fruity in mouth also but a bit yeasty sort of tastes a bit frumpy like it needs a workout, its fine but hardly memorable save for the cool label. Overall it’s a tangy, fruity, malty, yeasty beer with busy carbonation that could have done with a little more hoppiness. Its fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly to moderately yeasty (basement, cobwebs), with light notes of dried apricot and gum. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Not a whole lot going on with this one, aromatically. Pretty good balance but overall a bit plain.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy red pour with white head, aroma brought caramel, toffee, hints of belgian yeast notes, hints of earth, fruit, slight biscuit. Taste is malt forward, caramel and toffee move into earth, fruit, biscuit, slight earth, hints of white fruits, slight red fruit, finishing bitter, dry.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. No date but the bottle has a tag on it like its from another store. Not sure if this is old product like the other Stillwater stuff distributed to Foco on their initial arrival. A bit of a gusher. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy, orange fruity, somewhat funky, light white wine aroma. Tangy, somewhat strong, toasted malty, orange/tangerine fruity, spicy flavor. Pretty good.

Bottle. Lightly hazed soft peach-colored body with a fine-bubbled off-white head. Sweetish malt-forward nose is strongly perfumy and floral and I would take a wild guess about some sort of spice or flower added as a flavoring but whatever spice character there is seems to bleed over into that green / mold territory and seemingly oxidized malt as well. There’s a ton of fruit, vegetable, gum and candy smells: strong lychee, sweet red apple, candied radish, rotting fruit cocktail and finally some sort of hair product or salon smell. Soft, natural carbonation. Medium-full body. The soft nature of the low carbonation is broken and snapped by an abrupt interruption (seemingly) of alcohol (fusels indicating either warmer temps than needed or an unclean yeast strain), overwhelming bitterness and what seems like sharp oak tannin. Can’t find any mention of oak online but there’s little information about recipe. They seemed to have tried a traditional method and since it was at Saint Germain I assume it went through with their watchful eyes, so I don’t know what to say other than I’d like it a little cleaner, but I understand the rustic character that bière de garde producers go for. Still a fun one, though I can’t get past the decomposing fruit cocktail profile.

Steve_0 (2234) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Bottle at my grandparents. Pour is clear orang with a small white head and decent lacin. Funky, grassy, lightly spicy, musty, somewhat weedy, lightly citrusy, skunky, and floral aroma. Taste is malty, caramelly, huge skunk, pepper, grass, weed, and lightly vegetal. Light body with high carbonation. Not a very good beer.

Aroma is mild sweetness, dark fruit/plums and tobacco. The flavor is tobacco, dark fruit/plums, mild astringency and a malty finish.

bottle from saveur-biere. Hazy amber colour, mid-sized off-white to beige head. Malty base with a grainy touch, pleasantly and intensively hoppy towards and in the finish. Hints of caramel.
