Murky brownish orange. Big frothy brown head. Sweet, floral, fruity aroma. I get a lot of fruity notes in the flavor, too, maybe some rosewater, and finishes with a peppery, woody note.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours amber in color with a whitish head. Sweet malty notes, a bit of fruity citrus and peppery spicyness in aroma. Dry and malty mouthfeel. A bit of dough, herbal notes and notes of grassy bitterness in taste. Dry, but yet quite fruity and sweet finish.

Pours a rich copper color with a finger or so of sticky eggshell colored foam. The nose is honeyed malts, grassy hops and a touch of fruity yeast phenols. On the palate it follows the nose nicely with good balance and slid mouthfeel. Nice bitter touch cleans up the finish nicely. Refreshing.

330. Pours a hazy pale amber with a loose and sudsy whitish head. Intermittent stringy lace. Mild bready nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Oranges and bread on the mid palate. Nice, easy drinking, no flaws...not very memorable.

Bottle from Proof. Cloudy light amber pour with a frothy white head that lasts and laces. Aroma is yeasty, white grapes, pepper, sweet maltiness, herbal and floral notes. Light sweetness in the flavor with more cheesy yeast and floral notes, subtle hopping, and bready notes. Soft bubbly body with a zesty finish.

Bottle. Pours amber with a medium, white head. The first whiffs of the beer bring a lot of apricot and some peach. Soon, the spiciness and earthiness take over and cover all the fruitiness though. Some clove there. Taste is quite earthy. Grain and general spiciness. Lighter on the clove than the aroma. A slight sour flavor there as well. Palate is light with not much carbonation. A bit underwhelming and straightforward. Goes down easy, but doesn’t leave much of a mark.

bhensonb (13209) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours light amber with a 3 finger creamy off-white head. Aroma of fruity esters. Med body. Thinning as the carb leaves. Flavor is earthy, hint of metallic, somewhat phenolic (which makes it seem astringent), and fruit. The fruit is backdrop. This is a fairly tasty thing in an earthy way.
