Bottle, from La Cave à Bulles, Paris. Lots of spices and vegetable character. Dry yeast and wood, and I can taste the chicory. Opaque copper color and well carbonated. One of the most interesting French beers I have tried.

Fruity nose with a little spice (coriander?), cloudy yellow pour. A little flat due to the bottle gushing. Very subtle wood notes. Interesting.

750 ml bottle. Almost clear, golden body with an off-white head. Interesting aroma of fruit, berries, peaches, spices, yeast and slightly funky cellar notes. Flavour is sweet, pale malt, fruit, berries, spices and close to saison/bier de garde yeast. Medium body with light and delicat aftertaste. A bit unusually but I really enjoyed this one.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Rune (6356) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 16, 2013
Large 750ml swing-top bottle, batch 249, from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Big, beige head reduced to a remaining layer. Poor lacing, Cloudy, orange coloured body. Aroma of dusty, semi-dried fruits lightly spiced. Quite sappy taste of oranges and fresh apricot mingled with herbal dryness and wheat. Fruity finish. Overall a likable bittersweet, fresh and soft brew (at home, Tromsø, 16.01.2013).
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 KnutAlbert (5206) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 22, 2012
Maybe it is cheating. But this is a nice biere de garde with Belgian overtones. This is intervowen with nice root bitterness. Not too muc, just the right amount. One more, please!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tfredvik (648) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 3, 2012
Pours a clear amber body, at least the first couple of glasses, the last glass turned out quite hazy. It’s not that easy to pour beer carefully while watching Doctor Who. The head is rather large, creamy and off-white, and stays big for a long time before settling as a layer that laces the glass well. Moderate aroma that is quite sweet and yeasty, with some sweet fruits and dust. Pleasant enough without giving me an uncontrollable urge to take my first sip. The taste is light sweet and the moderate bitter finish has a dandelion sap quality, I guess that’s the chicory. Yeasty and spicy flavours with fruits and undefined herbal, plant-like notes, I assume it’s the chicory talking once again. Light to medium body with a dry, somewhat chalky body. A decent beer.
