Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and some metal from the alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2010
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear deep golden with an off-white head. Odd spicy aroma. Medium body, roasted malt and dry fruits with a vague spicy edge from the chicory - but it’s not really dominating at all. Dry finish. 110110

omhper (17478) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 7, 2005
UPDATED: APR 28, 2005 Bottled. Hazy amber. Fruty aroma with some hempish notes, which I assume derives from the chicory. Light bodied with fairly clean mouthfeel. Strong character of white wine. No bitterness. An interesting, unusual beer.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Cloudy orange-amber color; creamy head. This is a collection of flaws: vegetables aroma, light yeast, cabbage flavor, alchol presence... And the malt is very subdued; low bitterness. Useless experiment.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours an unclear deep orange body with a finger thick off-white head. The aroma has a herbal, forestish touch as well as lightly citrusy scent with caramel maltiness. Semi sweet caramel flavour with some herbal notes and a nice bitterness. Pleasant carbonation, medium to full body. Lightly citrusy finish with pleasant bitterness. Overall, a quite pleasant one but it well never be a favourite of mine. 120728

Hazy orange with a tiny white head. Yeasty aroma with hints of malt. Sweet yeasty flavour with malty and spicy notes.
