courtesy of Laurent Mousson - clear red-amber colour with an elusive beige foam; malt and hops in the nose; notes of red fruits and butterscotch; clean palate with some sweetness and a touch of acidity; chewy malts; short and quite dry flowery and fruity finish - I’m not really convinced

Bottle [750ml] shared w/ friends at the ’2nd Annual Buffalo Cask Festival’ -- c/o swoopjones. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a spare creamy off-white head. Aroma’s weird, and not in a good way. It’s malty along with yeast and fruit but there’s an oddness to it that I can’t describe that I did not care for. Watery, somewhat sweet flavour of citrus fruit, light spices, caramel and alcohol. Dry, spicy finish. Average bodied. Just O.K.

Draft at La Fine Mousse, Paris. Reddish brown pour with a bubbly broken head. The aroma is malty with yeasty notes. The flavour is bitter with fruity notes on the palate. A rather drinkable ale but the range of flavours and the smoothness and warmth that one might expect in this kind of ale is sadly missing.

750 ml swing-top bottle. Amber color, off-white head. Strong aroma of sweet spices. Sweet flavor with orange peel. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. Too sweet for my taste.

750mL bottle acquired through a white elephant holiday beer swap. The aroma is a bit musty, oxidized, floral, and lightly sweet. Hints of honey is present, and this is rather quaffable. Mildly hazy orange-amber body with a small, off-white head. Starts a little toasted and sweet. Caramelly/metallic in the middle, before it becomes roasty, dry, and lightly bitter with a long long finish. Rather thin. Nothing special. Has a weird mouthfeel that is too thin and dry.

An amber brown color with a good head leaving behind a thin satin canopy. Smells of darkfruit with minerals. Medium nectar with ample effers. This brew is uneventful featuring a lot of not much in terms of flavor. Just mildly sweet cornering darkfruit. Worth drinking but I would not pay for this. Thin around the edges, no mid palate and a boring finish. Why do they even make beer like this?
