Bottle @ YNWA, Kolding. Muddy pale dark yellow pour with a fair, frothy, white head. Bready malts arome, light earthy, slight grassy hops. Some oranges. Low carbonation, rather fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is light wheaty, mild vinious, red apple, malty and doughy maltiness. Fair enough.

In consensual French brewing wisdom, perfection of a concept stands higher than experimental and extreme tastes. In this category Page 24 Blonde excels. A good strong blond beer with a solidly complex all-round taste. No single quality stands out, but every sip will bring new taste-layers to life if you give them the chance to register. In style it compares to a Belgian triple: Cloudy yellow colour, a distinct bitterness with hints of citrus and decent yeastiness. A recommendation for people with traditional tastes but nothing for the seeker of the new and experimental.

definitivly a hype, and certainly not worth it. That page24 proove that french can’t make good beers. Even if they pretend they do. That brewery won some prizes for those beers, but... why???

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is malty and fruity. Flavors are malts with a strong lemon and honey taste. Reminds me of a white beer with the lemons and refreshing. Very nice overall.
Note: The Brewery St-Germain has won the Gold medal at the 2009 Agriculture Fair in Paris, and now makes this brewery the most medaled in France.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle. Medium head is quite creamy and smooth. Fresh-looking orange liquid is cloudy. Aromas are sour and fermented fruits and berries, raisins and later on flowery hops and sweet maltiness. Great aromatic hops! Medium body. Mouthfeel changes from fresh sourness to medium bitter finish including some sweet malts. Carbonatioin is quite sharp and fizzy. This was a positive surprise. Delicate and diverse aromas and refreshing. Well balanced.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottlde. Cloudy golden. Honey aroma. Farirly sweet with rounded moutfheel and some almond character. Grassy finish with low bitterness. A discrete beer, not at all as adventurous as their spiced ales.
