A true amber beer from Nord. It also respects the conditions of Saveurs en or. Its slightly roasty taste is obtained using torrefied malts.

(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Pours a clear amber with oily bubbles on top. Nose of alcohol, odd wet grass and funk, spoiled vegetables. Carbonation is good, and the taste is pretty straightforward with sweet biscuit malts.

blurry copper, thin whispy white head brown sugar and caramel in aroma and flavor a bit thin, but ok refreshing but, like most french beer, too sweet

Bottle, 6.9%. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Hazy dark orange/amber colour. Small white head. The flavour is also fruity and yeasty, a bit too yeasty for me. OK malty, slightly sweet, but unclean and yeasty finish.

This beer has won the gold medal at the 2009 Paris Agriculture fair two days ago, I purchased the bottle there. Pours a dark orange to copper color with a thin white head. Aromas are malts and fruity, some hints of sweet caramels. Taste is very fruity and mostly dry orange and plums, lightly sweet and bitter. A nice and strong ballance.

Bottle. Cloudy orange colour with a medium creamy head. Malty aroma with hints of yeast and some fruits. The flavour is sweet malty with notes of toffee, yeast and spices. Slightly bitter finish, quite light-bodied. Decent beer.

0,75 l bottle. Hazy orange beer. The head is creamy with some bigger bubbles, white in colour and long lasting. Yeast particles in the liquid. Aroma has spiciness, sour apples, raisins, vinegar and a hint of alcohol. The finish has malty caramel and sour apples. Flavor is sweet&sour. Alcohol is clearly present in the finish. Medium bodied, a bit foaming and fizzy palate. Some alcohol burning.

Hazy orange color with medium, light beige, cremy and lacy very heterogenic head. Very fresh aroma is fruity(apples) and grassy. Sweet flavor is fruity, raisiny, spicy with alcohol notes. Also some grass in the aftertaste. Medium-bodied and low carbonated palate.

Bottle @ Mondial 2008. Aroma of decent malt malt and some wheat? cloudy apricot, tiny white head. Taste of the malt starts the show, with a creamy, honey quality too. Light bodied, sweet, fine throat burn here. Very good offering.

Objectively speaking: A soft and fruity Bière de garde that lacks the cleanliness from their Blonde.
I like: Toasty malt introduction rapidly veers towards juicy red apples, dried figs – kinda juicy and unclean with a earthy/fruit seed bitterness from early oxidation. Leafy finish.
I dislike: This was tasted at Le Mondial 2008 festival, yet it felt as if it were not as fresh as possible.

Bottle at Mondial 2008
Appearance: Light amber with medium creamy ring.3-.
Nose caramel , amber malt , alcohol on side and brown unrefined sugars.
Flavor/Palate : Medium-full bodied , sweet with caramel hints with bitter feel around. Decent ale.
