COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true amber beer from Nord. It also respects the conditions of Saveurs en or. Its slightly roasty taste is obtained using torrefied malts.

750 c&c from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours orangey amber with a 3 finger foamy beige head. Strange aroma - malt and something suggesting diacetyl. Medium body with strong carbonation. Flavor is heavily roast malt with no trace of diacetyl, and a fairly bitter aspect. "for those who eat the taste of mystery"? In the end it’s fairly malty and smooth, but there’s enough hop to make it balanced. Suggestive of an "imperial" amber.

Hazy amber color with a huge off-white head. Aroma has notes of citrus and some hops. Taste is sweet with notes of caramel, malt and alcohol leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle from Ryan. Brilliant copper with nice head, tiny carbonation bubbles. Amazing aroma, have to dig a little, but tons going on. Candied stone fruits up front, (mango/apricot), dusty yeast, bready/toasted malts, light crystal/caramel malts, herbal/earthy hop character, faint spice in backend, nutmeg? Flavor again, very well put together, nothing in your face, but a ton going on. Fruit character not as prevelant, light apricot shows up. Great malt/yeast combo beyond that. Toasted bread, light caramel malt, light honey, dusty yeast, lightly musty, perfect amount of sweetness in finish. For everything going on, this is amazingly clean. Lively carbonation to start, helps cleanse the palate, turns soft and billowy, very easy to drink. Wish I could put this in heavy rotation.

Bottled: Amber color, creamy off-white head. Aroma with notes of acid and alcohol, light fruitiness of raisins, herbs and honey. Flavor is malty with acid, fruits and hops. Nice one.

750 ml bottle. Light copper colour. Crystal clear. Tall fluffy off-white head that clings to the glass. Soapy and peppery aroma with hints of juniper. Rich malty flavours, even though the body leans towards the lighter side. Balances between a rich and soft maltiness and a crisp bite from the carbonation. Very enjoyable.

750 ml swingtop bottle, from Vinmonopolet, nettbutikken. ABV is 6.9%. Deep golden to amber colour, big to moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Spicy and herbal aroma, hints of flowers and honey too. The flavour is fairly sweet and malty with caramel and moderate hops, hints of honey, the alcohol is noticeable. Lacks the crisp freshness of the Hildegarde Blonde.

Pours a good-looking hazy deep amber body with a finger-width of white foamy retention. Smell is fruity, with some deeper sweet malt tones and hints of Belgian yeast. Taste is well-rounded, with a smooth complexity of red berries, peaches and hints of hay embedded in Belgian-style yeasty molasses and slightly roasted malts. Sweet, yet fresh in every way. A delicious beer; light-bodied and drinkable despite the high ABV - this is what I’d call a good summer beer.

Bottle. DØE Tasting, French beer. Pours a clear and copper beer with a weak offwhite head. The aroma is malt, sweetness and fruit. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweet. Overall a beer just above average.
