Initial taste is grainy sweetness. It’s most interesting feature might be the finish, which is mildly bitter and long-lasting, but also it also includes an alcoholic sweetness. Body is medium and texture is oily. Aroma of grains and yeast and alcohol. The colour is golden, first serving is clear, second hazy. The head is white and leaves lacings. (Bottle)

0.75l bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Aahh, it pours a clear golden body with a big, dense and light fluffy white head. Aroma has some nice citrus notes with grapefruit, it’s light sweet, notes of orange zest and a little yeasty wheat note in there as well. Subtle and quite nice. Average carbonation, smooth and gentle mouthfeel. Mildly sharp on the flavors. Quite malty and light fruity at first, then you get some of that nice Belgian yeast with hints of some almost peppery spices. Continues with a nice light both hopy and sweet flavor before it gives off a little warming alcohol hint in the aftertaste. Light drinkable, refreshing and uncomplicated.

Had this during the 2011 Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a thin white head. Fruity and musky, toast and sweetness. Prune and fruit leather. Musky toast. Tangy old fruit and oxidization. Lingering sweetness on the finish.

750mL flip top at Shenandoah Throwdown. The pour is a hazy golden with a healthy off-white head. Nose is fresh yellow apple, cinnamon pie, sweet cherry pie. Taste is very malt forward as expected with cinnamon apple oatmeal, huge honey malt, brown sugar, and wheat bread. Very good.

pours amber yellow, pretty lacing and micro bubbles. Initially sharp hoppy bitterness, followed by a fragrant banana-honey and then malty middle, and then a dry finish at the top-back of the throat. Bitterness lingers. A creamy bittersweet smooth beer with medium body, medium complexity, medium depth, and medium length. Overall above average but not the flavours I’m looking for.
