A classic west coast IPA with a prominent citrus, floral, piney nose (warrior, simcoe, comet, amarillo and cascade). Low to medium malt notes support the firm hop presence in flavor and mouth feel.

Orange colored body, frothy white head, soapy lacing. Bright citrus and tropical notes with some piney and floral undertones, minimal malt base. Nice use of Amarillo and Simcoe with some other varietals. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and clean, lively bitterness in the finish.

"Very aromatic and pungently hoppy, without dismissing the malt balance, just like I like em. Citrusy hops are the main player, but other varieties are added for subtle spiciness and deeper fruit, with a little caramel and bready malt in the background. Easy drinking and tastes great."

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a nice golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus, catty notes, pine resin, grass, pale malts, hints of caramel, and lightly toasted bread. The finish has a nice bitterness with a subtle spicy bite. This is a solid West Coast IPA.

Draft at St James. Pours dark yellow. Nose of pine, resin and some catty. Taste similar, with excellent presence of aromatic and flavoring hop. Mid palate sweetness and a long bitter finish. Moderate syrupy mouthfeel. Excellent example of an aromatic IPA. My favorite beer of the 6 I tried at the brewpub.
