Hazy amber brown beer. Little pale tan head. Light toffee nose with a trace of tawny Port and oak barrel. Palate is light, semi dry and a little minerally. Light creamy malt with a little oak sweetness. Mild Tawny Port and toffee. Minerally crisp finish. Decent flavour but I wish it didn’t have thsi slightly tired feel.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with just a slight hint of port. Flavor overall was thin with some sweet grains and bread without much else.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours an orange-yellow color with a white head. The aroma has some light malt notes, as well as some sugar, lemons and oranges. The flavor is very similar, with some subtle lemon and orange citrus notes mixing with some biscuit malt. There is also a yeast-like flavor. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Yeast, grains, bread and citrus/spices in aroma. The flavor is bread, citrus/tropical fruit and malts. Not as much yeast as was expecting, pretty decent all around.

500 ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place. Pours a hazy golden amber with a small filmy eggshell white head. Aroma of sweet malts, grains, spices, candi sugar, and fruits. Flavor of sweet malts, dried fruits, dusty grains, melon, and boozy bread. Light body with mellow carbonation and a dry, sweet mouthfeel. Not bad.

(500ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) cloudy orange with a ring of fine tan bubbles. Nose of raisin, honey, and sweet grain. Taste is creamy, dry grain, and a bit earthy. Medium to light sweetness. Dry finish, well carbonated and prickly on the palate.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber. White head. Nose/taste of oak, fuggles, hops and malted barley. Slightly bitter finish. Light to medium body.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, ivory, lasting head over a slightly hazy amber (SRM 9) body....nose is light pear, raisin, slight toffee caramel....taste is light toffee/caramel, light fruits (raisin, fig) finishing with a sharp bitterness, dry throughout, (in spite of all the fruity notes in the nose and flavors)...mouth feel medium, carbonation adds foamy sensations. It is difficult to fit this beer into any of the standard styles. It is pleasant enough to drink, but is not particularly outstanding. I also think the Port barrels may have been more important than the yeast in creating this beer. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6

bottle. lifeless pour with a small off-white ring of a head. plum and orange gelatin chew (the semi-sour ones) nose with wood/port/oxidation evident. chewy and gelatinous up front with mild fizziness and a small bit of acid especially evident late under and on the edges of the tongue. vinous, yes, but not really that palatable.
