Really loved this beer. I’d been on a steady died of dull French blonde beers, but this thing just had so much more depth to it. The dark copper color is the first clue, then the Abbaye/Leffe-like clovey yeast note, then a smooth sweetness of well-hidden alcohol, with a crisp finish. Great value and sold in most French supermarkets too.

Heavy on the marzipan flavours. It’s okay but it’s a bit sickly to be honest.

Can from French supermarket. Golden with an off-white head. A beer dominated by spicy hops. A little boozy with just a hint of citrus. OK

Balanced. Alcohol well hidden. Caramel aroma. The taste is softly fruity with a little bit of biterness.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Golden with a thin head. Good robust earthy aroma, although in taste its strength is dominant. Interesting but not the greatest of its style.
