Really loved this beer. I’d been on a steady died of dull French blonde beers, but this thing just had so much more depth to it. The dark copper color is the first clue, then the Abbaye/Leffe-like clovey yeast note, then a smooth sweetness of well-hidden alcohol, with a crisp finish. Great value and sold in most French supermarkets too.

Bottle. Clear sparkling amber body. Loose white head. Nose is that Belgian yeast/wheat thing, orange peel, citrus, lemon, clove, spices, Christmas spices, yeast, mineral, wood, sherbet, toast, dust. Tangy. Gradually sourness builds. Dry finish. Moderate carbonation. Pretty decent.

Kita (861) - Koper, SLOVENIA - MAR 23, 2014
Bottle, 0.33l. Clear pale amber color with large rocky white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, yeast, dried fruits with some earthy notes. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt, follows bold fruity, but alcohol still well hidden, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, somewhat oily texture, but thinned with rice, lively carbonation in palate. Interesting brew, however buttery notes were quite obvious flaw...

Shared a 33cl bottle. Pours a lightly amber yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel, plum, banana and dough. Soft carbonation and medium body. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter, well balanced. Overall, a tasteful and pleasant beer but with some boring notes.

750ml bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a thin off-white head. Aromas of banana, light Halloween molasses candies, wet rock, light spice, light plum, light dried fruit, and light dough. Taste wise, sweet, with corn syrup candy, a hit of minerality, and alcohol up front, with light dried fruit, light orange peel, musty notes, and bitterness that finishes. It’s not bad, but definitely not worth the price.

The beer pours a copper-tinged gold with a this white cap. Aroma is light fruits, sweet malt, must and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is very musty with yeast, tart fruits, and some burnt wood. Quite enjoyable.

Pours a deep honey colour with a thin frothy white cap. The aroma is sweet, cider and toffee being most prominent with under tones of honey, and an odd butter diacetyl note. The flavour is very cider dominant, under tones of grassy hops, esters, finishes on cider and buttery diacetyl. The butter notes are really killin this for me.

Bottle - Honey, light grain, spices and some yeast. Clear gold with a decent white head. Very effervescent, honey, grain, yeas and booze. The carbonation gives it a bit of bite. A bit too much booze in the finish.

Golden amber. Light head. Caramel nose with hints of cider. Heavy dew on cardboard, caramel and the cider note which may be part of the AbV.

Light amber color. Peaches and cream in the nose. Moderately hoppy, peaches and cream with some apricots. Ok, but doesn’t really float my boat.

Merry Christmas to me...evil north of France 750 for me. Fruity aroma of yeast, butter and sugar. Glowing orange appearance. Tastes of metal, tart salt, and sugar. Too sticky to be called dry, although thin enough to be quaffable. This type of beer is an acquired taste, like the beef stew it stood up next to this afternoon.
