3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber colour. Cedar and juniper nose, also little sugary. Cork has left marks on both aroma and flavour. Pretty light mouthfeel. Dried fruits such as plum is most dominant.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber coloured, thin white head. Woody, cedar nose with some hints of juniper. Sweet, almondy, slight woody (cork) flavour. Some notes of plum & raisin is present. Quite short aftertaste. Christmas-like seems to be a popular deScription here, so......YES it´s very christmas-like.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
75 cl Bottle. No yeast in bottom. Brown/amber in colour with a nice head. Very malty aroma, with some spicy notes. A malty and caramel taste, speciel for a christmas ale. A good frence beer, BUT not a great one in the big picture.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Pretty, filtered amber with a fine yet discreet head.. Slightly sweet to begin with but well balanced off by the hops. Not very fullbodied in spite of the alcohol, but a quite harmonic beer. 100404

Very Christmas-like but too sweet for my taste. The sweetness overwhelmes everything.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
En sød ukompliceret øl. Først bitter, så sød. Smager af rørsukker, karamel med lidt god vilje. Abrikos? Dufter af honning og frugt. Fin gyldenbrun farve, men spinkelt skum. Glider let ned...

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Good appearance. The aroma and the taste as well, is just to sweet. It overwells the beer. The sweetness/citrus flavor makes the beer an odd christmas beer. It would not do well at a danish christmas dinner.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
The beer is quite boring. The brewers don’t succed in making a abbey dubbel style. They shoul concentrate on their own style saison and stay away from the Belgian styles. Wheaty flavor and yeasty, malty finish.
