Beautiful amber color; nice lace. Light aroma, with sweetness. Flavor is very sweet. Good beer for christmas. All too sweet for outside the Christmas season.

nose is mild sweet malts, weak rotten fruit, feel is fresh and comfortably light for a christmas Belgian. carb is medium, taste follows nose. Nice with the freshness compared to others like it.

750 c&c. Pours medium amber with a very coarsley foamy beige head. The head collapses and rings. Aroma is cooked caramel. Med body. Flavor is lightly sweet with some very mild hop. Drinks very well. Is it a spicey thing? No. Sort of a very extra good Jenlain sort of drink. Love it.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2010 Light brown color and a white head. Flavor has some malt, quite dry, and clearly recognizable French/ Biere de Garde yeast, which is how I would classify this beer. Simple and one dimensional, with the dry malt dominating the flavor and aroma.

Amber with a medium off-white head. Fruity with sweet tones. Malt, oak and fruit. Medium body with a nice, bitter-sweet finish.

750 mL bottle. Pours clear and sparkling deep copper with a medium, fizzy and frothy off-white head, good retention. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, light toast and biscuit, low fruity esters, and no hops. Flavor is lightly sweet caramel and biscuit malt, low hop bitterness, earth and cellar notes with a dry and fizzy-spicy finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.

Sampled on 1/29/2010. This Belgian Strong Ale pours a medium orange amber color from a corked and caged 750ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, cider, herbal and sweet. A medium bodied Belgian Strong Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, touch of bread and caramel. Touch of apple cider, bread and honey. Hops are earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. I had a lot of French Xmas beer this past season, that sort of taste like this one, ciderish, sweet, earthy and spicy. Nice sipping beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Copper color with a large white head. Left some lacing. Aroma of fruit, spices, honey, raisin and sugar. Very sweet taste. It reminded a bit of the Finnish brew called Sima. Not much bitterness to talk about. Low carbonation. A disappointment, 75 cl was way too much!
