(Rating #1430)

Hazy amber hue, with a fluffy beige head, but falls quickly, yeasty, grainy, toasty nose, with a mild peachy, manderine fruity note, a nice coriander spicy accent, with a faint sweet marmalade aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, bready dough, fruity, toasty character, with a touch of coriander spiciness, some peachy, candied tangerine notes, a subtle floral hop accent, leading towards a malty, fruity, dry hoppy finish.

Bottle conditioned at Taverne de la Fermette, Rochhaut, Belgium. Clouded gold with white head. Sharp acidic yeasty beer, quite rough around the edges. Dry, spiced, pungent. Sorry but couldn’t get on with this.

JoeinEscazú (1120) - San Jose, COSTA RICA - AUG 5, 2007
Translucent amber-gold with a thin, white head. Sweet-spiced aroma with some mustiness. Flavor starts a tad sweet but takes a welcome turn toward dryish, mildly bitter, and quite dusty... lends a nice farmy aspect to the beer. Enjoyed it.
