Bottle conditioned.

Orange coloured beer with a small white head. Strange, but nice milk and honey-like aroma. Flavour is soft malty with a sweet honey finish. Nice brew. (Bottle 33cl)

Blonde dorée trouble, pétillance moyenne, col blanc fin. Les malts l’emportent haut la main, laissant quelques notes de fruits, une petite amertume et quelque sécheresse sur la fin.

Bottle brought home from Rochefort. Having had various other of this brand - and they all weren’t that nice in my opinion- I was little bit afraid of this honey version. I did not get proofed wrong but at least it was drinkable and therefore better than expected. Pours out in a cloudy dark brown colour with low steady head and medium body. Nose of malt and herbs. Taste of dusty honey, sugar, Belgian yeast, malt, nuts and grains. Finish of bitter honey what didn’t make it that nice. Until now probably the best I had from Saint Monon, but still below average of what I consider a nice beer.

Nicht schlecht, aber wirklich a la Honig war es nun auch wieder nicht. Recht süffig, ordentlich Portion milden Hopfens und ein klein wenig Hefe. Fluffig, einigermaßen süffig und mit einem süßen Abschluss. Nett.

Draught @ Gastropub Tuulensuu
Aroma feels tart with lots of urinal cake, green apples, some citrus and hints of biscuits. Like a beer high on bretta. Flavour is quite sour and tart with citrus, urinal cake, and some apricot. Finishes with lactic acid. Not sure if this is supposed to be sour but somehow it fits here. Except for the finish.

Tap @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere.
Pours hazy golden-orange color with a small head. Aroma of apricot, yeast, malts and some barnyard notes. Flavour of sour fruits, rowan berries, yeast, grass and grape fruits. Nice sourness here, whether it was intentional or not.

Draught @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere. Pours a dark orange colour with a white lacy head. Aroma of tart berries, grass, lemon juice and hay. Flavour of smooth sweet malts, grass, pungent tart berries, dried apricot and lemon. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a malty, sweet, fruity finish. Somehow this has some gueuze-like tart elements. Me likey.

33cl from Mi-Orge Mi-Houblon. It pours a hazy dark yellow in colour with a nice white head. Some floral, herbal and fruits in the aroma. Medium carbonation and very lively. Starts light bitter and ends long and quite sweet. A good beer, but lacks of complexity.
