Miksu (1205), Jyväskylä, Finland Jul 31, 2008 0.33 l bottle. Hazy golden color with yeast flocs, creamy head. Sweet honeyish aroma with tart fruitiness and hint of meaty yeastiness. Sweet, tart and perfumed flavor with bready notes, herbal- peppery spiciness and some alcohol sharpness. Nice tart and herbal taste, but yeast and alcohol disturbs a bit. BoBoChamp (590), Gent, Belgium Jul 27, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, balanced, cloudy, small head, good honey ale Maria (3905), Thisted, Denmark Jul 11, 2008 Courtesy of Fonefan. The Beer floods out of the bottle, and goes on and on. The head is very weak and quickly disappearing. The color is very beautiful warm, yellow amber and the aroma has a light sweetness and notes of malt and honey. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, candy sugar, honey and the finish is slightly dry. The overall impression is a bit weak, but still OK. beerbuzzmontreal (2695), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 23, 2008 Pours a clear golden color with a lot of floating chunks and a thin white head. Pleasant aroma of honey, hops and yeast. Good flavor of honey, hops and yeast. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. I didn’t expect much from this beer, but it’s quite good. Fin (2075), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jun 21, 2008 Bottle picked up at Westholme, Londis, Goring-on-Thames consumed 18-06-08 Pours almost orange in colour with a large head which like Mr Benn rapidly disappears leaving just a few solitary bubbles scattered around the rim. Spicy on the nose of which mace/nutmeg was the one thing that I noted, some yeast and a soft citric waft. The flavour is not unlike the head in that it is there one minute and then gone the next, quite strange. Soft and slightly sour with spicy tangerine flavours.
