2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at home. Hazy amber pour, huge creamy off-white head. Aroma is spicy, fruity, some licorice, grainy and somewhat yeasty. Flavor is watery, spicy, slightly roasted and quite yeasty. Bitter aftertaste. A bit boring.

Drank this at the brewery. Pours ruby to brown. Malty nose, lots of munich malt, coca cola caramel flavor, nearly no burnt malts. Bit sourness underneath. OK brew;

Ach, irgendwie läuft es zuletzt nicht mit den Belgiern. Säuerlich und getreidig ist dieses, mit leichten Karamellaromen. Dennoch überwiegt der Brottrunk hier drin, was einen echt heftig treffen kann. Naja...

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Something must be wrong that I just don’t like and enjoy the beers of Saint-Monon....this one pours out in a cloudy dark deep brown colour with low airy head and medium to smooth body. Nose of sourness and nuts. Taste of dusty hops, old Belgian yeast, acid, citrus, malt and nuts. Hints of basement and it finishes very sour and undelicious. Way below average, not nice at all.

28/X/12 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: IX/11 (2012-1207) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the beer!
GUSHER alert! Clear purple brown beer, fizzy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: dry and dusty, bit peppery, chocolate, bit sweet. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: raisins, dusty, overripe banana, sweet, some cocoa powder, overripe fruits. Aftertaste: some dried fruits, chocolate, rotten fruits, something off. Needs a rerating from a fresher bottle... but it was infected anyway, before or after the BBE date...
