Great aroma: Rich and with some cocoa. Full, rich flavor. Notes of coffee. Very "dark" flavor for a bruin. Very nice.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2005 Bottled. Cloudy brown coloured with an off white head. Sweet aroma of dried fruits, herbs and spices. Sweet flavour of spices, malts and dried fruits with hoppy notes. Warming alcoholic finish.

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy, dark brown beer with an unclean head. This is far from the traditional abbey dubbel as the appearance might indicate. Incredibly fresh and well-scented nose - some perfumy spices. The flavours hint at some initial sweetness which disappears rather fast to be relieved by a pronounced dryness and a wee bit of hops. A very interesting beer. Perhaps a bit too much carbonation. 050599

Bottle. This is an excellent I repeat excellent brown. Although it is not as well known as some of the competition it is a very very decent brown. The color is almost darker then brown and bordering on a black. This is very smooth with an almost stout feel, it is spiced with oak and herbs, but feels just right.

Opaque, dark brown colour with a slim beige head. Excellent, roasted malt, sweet and fruity aroma. Sweet and dark fruity taste, with liquorice and some herbs. Medium bodied with a nice sweet and sour finish. Good.

Muddy dark brown body, small tan head. Nose of dark malts and fruits. Good sweetness in the flavor, malty, some notes of chocolate. Good one.

ZBF 2005. Pours a dark red-brown, with a tan head. Aroma is sweet fruity, and of roasted malts. Taste is sweet, fruity, with notes of prunes

Draught. Malty aroma, hint of liquorice. Unclear black colour. Nice, sweet liquorice flavour with a hint of yeast, though. But still very nice. Low carbonation.
