An unclear brown beer with a light brown head. The aroma is malty with notes of chocolate as well as hints of alcohol. The flavor is much like the aroma except the hints of alcohol are hidden very well.

Bottled. Very dark brown. Estery, perfumy aroma. Sweet coffee nose. Notes of raspberries. Creamy mouthfeel and light bitterness. A really tasty potion reminiscent of kahlua...

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy, dark brown beer with an unclean head. This is far from the traditional abbey dubbel as the appearance might indicate. Incredibly fresh and well-scented nose - some perfumy spices. The flavours hint at some initial sweetness which disappears rather fast to be relieved by a pronounced dryness and a wee bit of hops. A very interesting beer. Perhaps a bit too much carbonation. 050599

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours hazy brown with a lacing white head. Roasted malt aroma with a light spiced touch. Flavour holds a smooth chocolate malt flavour with a minor spice note. Lovely lingering roasted finish with a wellbalanced spice note. Lovely.

Bottled. Cloudy brown coloured with an off white head. Sweet aroma of dried fruits, herbs and spices. Sweet flavour of spices, malts and dried fruits with hoppy notes. Warming alcoholic finish.
