Jul 14, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Hazy, dark brown beer with an unclean head. This is far from the traditional abbey dubbel as the appearance might indicate. Incredibly fresh and well-scented nose - some perfumy spices. The flavours hint at some initial sweetness which disappears rather fast to be relieved by a pronounced dryness and a wee bit of hops. A very interesting beer. Perhaps a bit too much carbonation. 050599

Mar 9, 2008 ZBF2008: From tap. Pours hazy brown with a lacing white head. Roasted malt aroma with a light spiced touch. Flavour holds a smooth chocolate malt flavour with a minor spice note. Lovely lingering roasted finish with a wellbalanced spice note. Lovely.
