Cloudy amber color, off-white head. Herbal, hoppy, grassy scent. Sweet, malty, hops, chewing gum, mint, fresh taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Om bottle from Beerplanet.be. Copenhagen color, good foam and carbonation- sediments. Aromas of hops, malt, good fruitiness, citrus and some eucalyptus. Medium body & complexity. Some sweetness , but solid bitterness: good balance. Enjoyable

Sampled draft @ ZBF 2013. Hazy orange with a creamy white head. Nose is sweet, chorine, flowers, honey and lots of herbs. Taste is sweet, sweet malts, chlorine, grass, herbal, bitter herbs, toothpaste, BE hops, herbs,… Fizzy,… Better actually than any of that sounds.

Bouteille 33 cl de la Cave du Vénitien - La Roche-en-Ardenne (B). Ambrée rouisse à haute mousse crème formant des dentelles. Nez appétissant de malt, houblons herbes et agrumes, candi. La bouche est douce-amère, support malté au caramel léger, relevé de houblons de diverses nuances, à la fois terreux, herbacés, zeste et fruités. Notes de levure. Une bière agréable, sans être trop sucrée ni amère. Belle acidulité mais pourrait être un peu plus vive.

Bottle @ home. Very hazy orange color, medium sized beige head. Smell a lot of herbs and spices and some sweetness. No hops anyway. Taste malts, just lightly hops in the background, a lot of herbs or spices again, koriander, nutmeg and mint. Some sweetness as well. Really don’t like it, way way way too much herbs or spices. (Or a bad bottle?)

Bottle from Beer Mania. Hazy amber body with medium soapy head. Nose is hoppy, soapy and a tad citrus. Taste is also citrus and pine and lots of hops up front - count them - then a bit maltier and slightly sour. Bitter in the finish. Pretty interesting beer.

Clear blond coloured beer with small white head, nice central corbonation. Herby, floral (lavendel) aroma. Medium slight sparkling palate. Finish is spicy slight bitter dry.

Nice chunky amber coloured body with a touch of a copper glow and a very nice three centimetre tall tan head that stays atop the beer nicely. Aroma of light grassy hops, alcohol, hay and barnyardie funk and quite a bit of yeast in the mix, all with some fruits such as apples and pears. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hop note that shows very well along with a lot of yeast and malt, all with a good herbal, grassy finish. Aftertaste shows a lot of complexity - fitting for the style and a bunch more grassy and hop bitterness than most belgies. Overall, I’m not sure what other people didn’t like about this beer - but it was pretty nice to me, a belgian ale with a touch of a sour kick, with a very nice complexity and much more hops than normal - sort of a belgie styled APA, but there was nothing bad at all about this - but I also had it VERY fresh. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Beer Mania in Bruxelles, Belgium on 30-June-2012 for €2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 14-July-2012.
