Smell is grainy, light sweet and a bit fruity. The taste has a grainy mouthfeel, with some malts and a light bitter finish. Not a bad beer, but I already drunk such ones and it lacks a bit in pallet. Smell: I think about stew when I drink this beer. Taste: malty, nice grainy, watery. This is not bad but has nothing ’special’. I wouldn’t import this beer to Belgium because nobody would buy it. Nose is yeasty, sweet malts, some spices. Taste of yeast, malts, hint of biscuit, bready, butter. Sweet finish. Not bad at all. DeanF (332), Paris, France
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Pours a clear dark gold with a decent head. Some sweet aromas. Not very complex, kind of a watered down and simplified version of a Belgian beer. DruncanVeasey (2770), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2009 Updated: Jun 5, 2009750ml. Brewed in Belgium, bottled in France, labelled by Sainsbury’s, bought in Nuneaton. Brilliant bronze beneath a thin white sheet. Instantly weird alluring English crumble aroma with apple, rhubarb, blackberry and vanilla. Some grassy hop and almond milling about beneath the sweetness and spice. The usual suspects, but with an added dollop of fruit and a pleasant clean butteriness I didn’t expect. Soggy spiced Swedish biscuit and papery sherbet fruitiness, creamy faint satsuma and pepper. Big glug of leftover Cinnamon Grahams milk. It’s obvious, mushy, painless and sweet and I like it. Good beer to entertain normals with. dj (422), Gloucestershire, England
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 3, 2008 Bottle, 750ml. A golden colour with a small head. A sweet caramel malt aroma with cloves and hops. Flavour has clove and some hop bitterness, but little else. A surprisingly uninteresting, watery, over-carbonated disappointment.
