Saint Quirin

Good, dense off-white head over well-carbonated golden beer with slight orange reflections. Very fine herbal nose, lightly spicy-greenery (maybe some coriander), bit of light malts, faintly honeyish. More herbal & spicy notes in a balance with sweet malts that is so precarious that it is almost perfectly neutral. Retronasal some meaty and lactic esters. Light to medium bodied, but extremely well-attenuated; very neutral, practically no aftertaste. Talk about overdoing the balance... but it is far from bad.

Bottle, 33 cl. (from festival Hotton) Golden color, fast diminishing white head. Aroma hops, yeast, light fruity. Medium body. Taste is good bitterness, orange peel, some hops. Not bad. Dry fruit aftertaste.
