Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, dark brown, nice head. Starts intense malty, strong, a bit alcoholic, some fruity notes. Hints of caramel, a bit earthy. Strong-malty finish, light woody notes. A good one!

Dobre smaczne ze srednia piana piwo koloru ciemnego bursztynu. W smaku smaczne karmelowo rodzynkowe. Przypomina belgijskie piwa swiateczne. Tresciwe i nieco wytrawne w koncowce. Zgrabna buteleczka z artystyczna etykieta. Piwo ktore zachecilo mnie do skosztowania srebrnym medalem w Paryzu. Udane dobre lecz nie porywajace piwo.

Trübes dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig malzig, Karamell, würzig. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, dunkle reife Früchte, Karamell, leicht alkoholisch.

bottle from saveur-biere. Murky brown, mid-sized off-white head. Fruity-spicy-chocolatey aroma. Full-bodied with the alcohol well disguised. Malty with hints of chocolate, caramel, dreid fruit and cough syrup/spices. Smooth palate. Unusual and pleasant.

Brown bodied, dark and Christmas-y. Dough, candy sugar, bit grainy, licorice root. Original but wouldn’t please anyone. Taste is cough drop, light sweet, medicinal, not super nice. Bit too dry and not concentrated enough. Alcohol warms but should give body too. Wintery yes, but not heartwarming. Doesn’t do it for me. Could have been better. (33cl bottle from La Cave à Bulles)

33 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via La Cave à Bulles , Paris, France. Deep brown mahogany, thin head. Sweet rasin and brown sugar aroma, some winter spice as well. Sweet, mince pie flavour, then more prune and some chocolate on the long spiced hop finish.

Purchased at La Cave a Bulles in Paris, FR; enjoyed in my hotel room at Hotel Bradford in Paris, FR getting ready for the long trip home. Appearance is a dark, murky cola brown with a rich bubbly head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of dark fruit, prunes, a touch of spice as well, smell is pretty potent and sweet. Taste is quite potent but enjoyable, rich in dark fruit and spice with a sweet profile. It’s decent stuff, not the greatest for the style by any means, but decent.

pours cloudy dark brown with a very nice light beige head, good retention and lacing. dusty, very yeasty, spices, chocolate, milk chocolate, some caramel and roastiness, some lactic sweetness. slightly boozy. short grassy-spicy and slightly unbalanced finish. average to soft carbonation, medium body, almost full. slightly underrated.

Cloudy brown beer. No head. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Very airy. Sweet caramel with burned brown sugar. Repressed orange and sweet cherry. Soft airy finish. Light as a feather sweet beer that doesn’t taste anything like 8.0%

Decent Christmas brew with plenty of maltiness and dark barley taste. Good heavy flavour but not too syrupy, rather modest wet finish. It’s what a Noël beer should be.
