33cl bottle from La Cave à Bulles in Paris. Pours a deep brown colored body with a slight ruby hue. Finger-width, fizzy, brown head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet, bready caramel malts with some raisin dark fruits, touches of roast, a bit of a yeasty spice, and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is similar. Light chocolate notes with some raisin dark fruits up front as well as a slightly sweet and bready caramel malt. A light yeasty note with a solid roastiness comes out towards the end as this finishes dry, lightly bitter, roasty, raisiny, and slightly sweet. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium, smooth body and a somewhat active, medium-high carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid beer. Well roasted and pleasantly sweet with a nice, dry finish and raisin dark fruit note. Good one.

330 ml bottle. Dark brown and slightly hazy. Tall light beige head. Crisp papery aroma with a note of yeast. Fruity and ashy. Dark milk chocolate. Nicely balanced, but there is something iffy about this beer as there is quite a bit of yeast and ash. Very high carbonation level. Feels light and refreshing because of this. Surprisingly drinkable in the end.

Skyview Tasting, 2/23/13. Purchased in Paris, October 2011. Very dark brown color. Malt and grain aroma. Roasted grain in the flavor with light sweetness. This beer does have good palate, and for a brown ale, it has a lot of flavor.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Dark brown, beige head, some yeast residue. Chocolate/cocoa aroma. Grain, cocoa, some sourness. Rather Belgian, but with its own identity. Easy sipping, but a little edge of alcohol.
