Bottled@HBF2013. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized creamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is nutmeg, grass, some sweet malts as well as slight spicyness. Flavour is bready malts, some toffee and mild spices, but also a bit rotten vegetably notes. Alcohol gives a nice burn in the finish.

33cl bottle. Golden with brown blur. Medium to big, white head. Nose : yeast, apricot and banana, candy, citrus zest. Sip : oily texture, creamy with decent carbonation. Very pleasant in mouth. Sweet with estery fruity notes. Getting dry and acid. Bitterness has some grapefruit juice aromas. Regular triple ale flavours with a good body. Nice really.

Pours dark gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet tropical fruit and resin aromas. Sharp and full with sweet hay and mango upfront turning to warming sourdough before the lasting earthy bitter finish.

Pours a cloudy orange with a thick and persistent white head. Aromas are pear, citrus, caramel and hops. High carbonation. A long finish with a strong and powerful bitterness ! A bit too bitter for me, but very tasty and great beer.

Orange blossom, bread, yeast nose. Sweet and malty attack, yeast and farmyard on the mid palate and then light bitterness with some pine on the finish. Carries the alcohol well.

Bottle courtesy of fiulijn - many thanks. Pours a pale amber colour with a tight white head. The aroma is moderately malty with a touch of spicy yeastiness. A kiss of spicy hoppiness but these are also fairly muted. Fairly earthy aroma and flavour with a touch of herbal flavour as well. Peppery and lean bodied with a touch of alcoholic heat as well. As it warms, the earthiness is enhanced a little bit as is the bitterness. The palate takes on a creamier consistency as well. A little bit crackery with some lingering spice.

Very clear body, stable frothy white head. Herbal, white bread, fermented fruits, floral and alcohol. Taste also is concentrated, almost aged, but has too much alcohol I’m afraid. Spicy tripel base is there, though. It’s probably the herbal hops I am not a fan of. (33cl bottle, from La Cave a Bulles)

On tap at la fine mousse in Paris. Pours a dark amber with a collapsing white head leaving no lacing. Light fruity aroma. Kind of a cross between a tripel and a Belgian ale. Nice.
